Not Working on New TV

Hey, I got a new Samsung 60 Inch Smart TV for Christmas and the first thing I did was play destiny. I went into 6v6 and instantly felt that the game was slow to respond to my finger movements. When I ADS, i wasnt able to point my weapon in the desired direction. No matter what load out I used, it was impossible to play because the game was responding slow and I couldn't properly aim and weapon. Thinking that the other people in my team were affecting this, I took my warlock into patrol and found the exact same thing, the game was responding slowly, especially the joysticks! I have 3 regular stock Dualshock controllers and all of them had the exact same feel. I then turned of the ps4 and reset each one of my controllers to no avail. Because the game was impossible to play I booted up FIFA 17 and that worked completely fine. No restrictions whatsoever, yet Destiny still felt slow to respond. I then put my Ps4 into another room and connected it to my parents 50 inch Panasonic and destiny worked completely fine. However, I can't keep the ps4 there forever and want a way to make it work well on my new TV. I'm not sure whether it's too large or there's a way to get controllers used to new TVs, so please respond if you have anyway to help me. Thanks, Luke

  • It's video input input lag. The larger the screen, and the more features of the TV that you use, the more display lag there will be. Turn off any settings that increase resolution or frame rates to get the biggest benefit, but the simplest thing is to put the TV in game mode or PC mode. Check out displaylag.com for more info.

  • The larger the tv, the longer the input lag, and some tvs have better performance than others. With Samsungs, for example, you are best off putting your tv into thinking the console is a computer, puts it in the fastest refresh mode available to the onboard chipset. This can be done by just renaming the port from hdmi or whatever else to 'pc' in the input label menu. You may have to readjust the colors after this, but it works, plenty of articles on it. This is also why more and more gamers are moving back to mid-range computer monitors for gaming. Much lower input lag, still crystal clear pictures, and requires less eye movement to see the whole screen, so your reaction times even go up.

Not the PS4 or the controllers. Make sure that stupid 120 hertz (tv soap opera mode, google it) mode is not enabled in the tv settings. They turn that crap and full brightness on from the factory on alot of tv's. That might be it.
