Happy Holidays, forum dwellers!
Since it's that time of year again, I have been pondering my thoughts and researching holiday mythology. Now, many years have passed since I woke up to the realization that holiday characters like Santa are myths, so I decided that I would shed some light on why Santa Claus is not worth teaching children as fact.
Let me give you a pretty straightforward, logical description of the old man in a jolly red suit...
A morbidly obese elderly male who spies on children 24/7, is at the head of a slave labour force of elves, breaks into children's homes at night and leaves gifts for children, based on what they wanted all year, which he found out by his spying.
It sounds kinda creepy when you rationalize it. Do you really want to teach your children that not only is lying perfectly acceptable, but breaking & entering and invasion of privacy are not crimes and are also perfectly acceptable?

Just tell them "Santa is magic". Works every time.
The jolliest (and luckiest) seven you will ever meet
Just tell my kids he's a spirit or angel. Boom. Problem solved.

First of all - Merry Christmas* And second, to be fair there is nothing wrong with breaking into someone's property if all you're doing is leaving presents for them.

Merry Lennymas to all! ( ͡🎅 ͜ʖ ͡🎅)

I'm taking this tree back to my workshop, for there is a light on one side that won't light.
#Grinch Referance
Santa Claus isn't a myth, he was a real person. He may have not had elves, or a flying slay, or visited each person on this earth, or made a naughty/nice list, but he was a real person. He wasn't always known as Santa Claus, he was actually known as Nicolas.

Edited by Commander Tempu: 12/23/2016 3:09:28 PMAt first i thought that said Truthful Deception of Santa. All i got to say is the Real Santa puts in more work than some elf's do. The point of Santa is to teach children that even a lie has some truth to it. Also i forgot that giving or sharing with those we love is important. Those memories stay with us forever. One of the few lies that make people happy.
