Something I've noticed since this nerf was made is that the weapon has become much less useful in PvE game modes.
Know how much it used to take to destroy a blight with Doctrine? Almost a whole mag, which was fine.
Know how much it takes now? A whole mag, a reload, and then a couple of rounds of the next mag.
Considering how fast the weapon fires, its mag runs out way too goddamn quickly. It's a weapon I really enjoy using, and though it can still be viably used in the crucible, its use in PvE took a heavy blow as a result of this nerf.
Lets be honest, the only people who wanted this nerf in the first place were the people who got killed by the gun a lot.

What Doctrine needs is Headseeker, Mulligan, and Explosive Rounds.

Naaaa! Leave it in the dirt.
-
That gun was broken, leave it in the dirt
-
They ruin this weapon, it was the good autos and they destroy it
-
No, in crucible a player can pre-fire for days as it is so no. Leave it where it belongs in the dirt.

That's why I like my assembly II (my first legendary of ROI) counter balance, perfect balance, extended mag, with the recoil management sight. 68 rounds of laser beam goodness. If it wasn't for Genesis chain's firefly effect I'd never use another auto in PVE

I haven't used it since they messed with it. What is the BF mag size put it at?
-
DoP is an...interesting weapon choice for PvE. I mean, I'll still bump it. Just confused why that's your weapon choice.
-
Idk. Doctrine isn't even a good option for pve. It's clearly made for crucible. I'd agree with you if your argument was for the archetype as a whole. Still bumping. Miss the magazine size.

Try Hex Caster or get a good roll on the New Monarchy vendor. IB has the same stats as Hex/Doctrine too. Just more ammo
