Hi! Just a quick little thought I wanted to run by everyone here in the community. Was wondering for along while why weapon damage dropoff exists in the world of Destiny. I'm sure it has something more to do with the pvp portion of the game. (Likely to help keep certain things in Check maybe)
But what if.... that all goes away. Let's say for example... that the range stat on all weapons now directly correlates to that weapon's accuracy and spread pattern. (Like shotguns and fusion rifles)
So like if a matador shotgun with max range, and the same matador shotgun with minimal range were fired at the same time side by side, the spread on the max range one should be considerably smaller than the other. Therefore making the max range matador hella lethal from a very considerable range.
Now.... the one major thing I would immediately see, (other than the forums literally crashing from the rage and frustration 😜) is that crucible would be absolutely ruined for ever and ever.
You'll be able to literally pump shotgun shells from just about across most maps and probably kill your enemy guardian. And that's just one weapon type that can have ridiculous potential to ruin livelihoods.
How about auto rifles? What if they no longer have that steep damage dropoff? Well.... they'll probably be really good too. Not convinced that they'll be as game breaking as shotguns, but they'll definitely be a hella lot stronger that they currently are.
I'm sure that other weapons in the world of destiny can benefit greatly from the removal of damage dropoff. (Hand cannons come to mind)
Obviously this would likely never happen, and I'm also sure that there's other problems that would arise that I'm not aware of.
Comment down below!!! What other weapons would be ridiculously lethal (or even more than they already are) should this actually happen. What other problems would such a thing would this give rise to?
Until the next time!!!
