Without google, express what you believe quantum mechanics to be, and perhaps why it is important.
Now, as a disclaimer, I'm asking this because I'm genuinely interested in what people have to say. This is a judgement-free thread. There is a range of users here of different age groups who have been exposed to different information. I have chosen to take a path in my life which exposes me to information about this subject, where as others may have not. Others may have, and perhaps they may be far more knowledgeable of the subject than myself. Doesn't matter.
I feel as though quantum mechanics is often regarded as some mysterious unknowable entity of knowledge, or is made out to be something that it is not.
So I want to know what you believe Quantum Mechanics to be. What is it about, why is it a thing, etc.

Something that if you think you fully understand it, you know absolutely nothing about. From what I know it a way of trying to explain what and how particles do on the smallest scale. Classic Newtonian physics cant predict what they do. Something like that anyway. If you are interested look up pbs spacetime on YouTube, they have some stuff on it. Very interesting even though I'm not sure what he is saying.
