- Gives you something to watch while you wait to respawn - Helps you learn to be more aware of your surroundings - Allows you to see that you actually got team shit and not "2 shot by MIDA" (which is impossible) I mean, Destiny actually has more context for how kill cams are possible compared to most other shooters. We have a drone flying around us at all times (our ghost). Also most competitive shooters have this feature, why not Destiny? Kill cams give you a small amount of satisfaction in knowing how you died and what they saw vs what you saw. To many times we die in the crucible and are left with the feeling of "wtf, how is that even possible?" Kill cams calm those tempers a bit by allowing you to see what happen in a replay, from another perspective. "Oh, damn, I didn't know there was a blind spot there. Still bs through." It's not going to solve frustration but, at least make it bearable. Here is a older video illustrating this pretty well.
