I don't think RoI was horrible like you say. Heck, I don't think that Destiny ever had anything horrible. Yes it had some ups and downs and could have been better in some parts but the fact that you're still here since year one (like myself) says a lot about the quality of Destiny. RoI had the great achievement of introducing us to a all new storyline, took us to a completely different ambient and gave us a few new mechanics that we never had. Also enemies were presented with new behaviours and the raid had some cool new mechanics and secrets (maybe some still undiscovered, who knows). Iron artifacts are also great, with unique perks that are really useful, and bounties were revamped to more diversity than before. Even the Record Book was, imo, a right step forward. And you never had a chance to climb to the top of a peak before :) That's why I don't see how someone can call this a horrible dlc.
