I bought a disc copy of Destiny:The Taken King Legendary Edition for the ps3 from game stop, after using over 8gb to download and update (which I though would of included expansion 1&2/TTK) I start my journey into the Destiny world for the 1st time only to find out The Taken King and both Expanstions had never downloaded and have no access to them unless I purchase them. Under the solar system screen during game play it shows the Taken King emblem, and when I put the cursor over the emblem it then shows a screen saying "Requires The Taken King"!!! Why is this happening, why do I not have access to the taken king or other two expansions. Please help.

In your disc case, was there a paper with a code for the expansion packs? That's what my case had. Hope this helps!
