Edited by TheTommieC: 11/30/2016 2:59:10 PMIt's a step in the right direction. I spent an hour or so yesterday building my base. Most people will say that it's a little bit too late for an update like this, but, it's added some more hours for me. While I'm not going to binge play it, it does add a little life to the game. (I'm waiting around for The Last Guardian next week)

From experience you can't save something that is already dead... Though this new update should give it some life.
-
Can you revive the dead?
-
Before you react to anything, its just a patch update not dlc. Using that term sets different expectations for it, and you should know where peoples expectations can lead to.
-
No there is no saving this game. But continuing to make updates, and make good on the things they promised might save Hello Games as a company.
-
They should focus on fixing that which was promised, like multiplayer and actual factions Sand planets and water worlds as well
-
It's a good effort so far. If they continue adding these kinds of updates for free further down the road, I might even buy the game again. As it stands, I'm intrigued and happy for the game, but I'm not rushing back to play.
-
Noboey cares anymore. Most people returned the game.
-
I've experienced the horrors of MCC. So my guess is no.
-
What we need is real multiplayer. There is literally no point in building an impressive base if nobody sees it, unless you're a YouTuber and you challenge some people to find it.
-
If you had told me a week ago that I'd be addicted to NMS, then I wouldn't have believed you. This update hasn't completely saved the game, but it's a hell of a good start.
-
There is people already flocking back to it after this update, so with my updates like this I don't see how it could die unless they do something else to screw things up.
-
This update alone? No. More updates like this one or bigger? Definitely yes.
-
-
By its self, no. But it's a step in the right direction..
Hey, at least they didn't tuck tail & run!
-
Nope. It lied it should stay dead. Base building and freighters won't save it.
-
At least the video didnt lie....
-
Unless you know necromancy, no. Can't save what has already been dead.
-
-
Lol no.
-
Bump, anyone? (:
