I came here to talk about my problem, not because I want all of you to feel sorry for me but because I need to start changing. Yes, I reload too often and I have come to terms with who I am and am ready to fight for a new me. It's a serious problem you see, every single time I'm done pew pewing I hit the X button. Even if I only shoot one bullet I reload and it gets me killed more often than I'd like to admit. Please. Help me get over this terrible habit I beg you. its an addiction and sooner or later it's going to lead to sprinting around every corner.... DON'T FALL INTO THIS TERRIBLE CHASM. BE READY FOR EVERY ENCOUNTER YOU GET YOURSELF INTO. DON'T GET CAUGHT WITH YOUR PANTS DOWN
and no magazine in your gun
Thank you all for your time. Now excuse me as I stare at my motion sensor and fall off the map.
Edit 1: About the Author
Punisher24689 was an avid year 1 destiny player. He was there when Xur sold Gjallerhorn for the first time but thought why "spend strange coins on a stupid rocket launcher". His first love was The Last Word, "dude this thing makes me look like a -blam!-ing cowboy g'damn" and it remained a faithful firearm until the end. Problems started when he received a Fatebringer. It's outlaw perk led to quick reloads - and lots of them. He became a frequent reloader with other weapons, fearing paranoia of not having enough bullets to kill that one hunter who keeps blinking all over the place. He was able to manage Trials of Osiris well, using the Y-09 Longbow Synthesis to SNIPE THE -blam!- OUT OF THOSE REVIVES WHOO unfortunately he got into the habit after reloading only after one shot. Coming from an extensive Halo and Battlefield background, punisher had it ingrained in his mind to press the reload button after every kill or kills. Using quick reloading weapons helped but it wasn't enough from saving him running into a blueberry with an autorifle who filled his face with bullets. In one fateful Trials match, punisher faced two opponents with both his teammates down on the other side of the map. Quickly dispatching of one enemy and then hitting the other with his favorite sniper he was confident in a one hit kill with his Jewel of Osiris. We could say that hubris was his downfall, as he put one shot into he thought he would have gotten the kill and instinctively reloaded. He lost the match.
Literally haven't played in a year. I just really like these forums.
Be honest. Have you been reloading lately?

Borderlands ruined me with reloading. Esp when character perks cam be super damage if no reload. F@cking evil i tell you. Then theres the bad juju and i think my x buttons broke lol. Sga is sweet though.
-
I know how you feel. I'm always reloading, spray and play is a pointless perk.
-
This problem was okay because I used MIDA and Pulse rifles. On monday, I switched to the last word. Big problem now
-
I know your pain. I suffer from the same issue. I know I hit rock bottom when is started using weapons with glass half full and still reloaded after 8 shots with an auto rifle.

I'm LimeBreaks and I am a reload addict. I think we should all take lessons from Deej and never reload until our mags are empty

Edited by bFLY: 11/24/2016 7:39:38 PMHalo pvp made me a chronic reloader.
help me
Addiction is such an ugly word...we prefer "instinct". But srsly, I immediately reload after kill on thing. I only don't when there is another thing next to the one thing, where I keep shooting both things

Edited by XxMaverick135Xx: 11/24/2016 7:18:32 PMHi Punisher I'm sure you can find a 12 step program for reloading
-
Im right there with u pal...we can get through this together...i couldve had a few nice double kills last night but then i reloaded n died. Someone's pushing me and instead of shooting them i hit reload. Its a vicious cycle n ruins guardians lives. Hang in there...dont reloadapse!

Edited by Jersey: 11/24/2016 6:56:18 PMHello Punisher24689! My name is disgrundled and I too am addicted to reloading. I'm glad you are admitting your problem, I feel like I now have a safe space to come and talk about this addiction. My addiction is so bad that Glass Half Full is a wasted perk for me. More like Glass Half Empty, amirite? 😭

Hello, my name is Plz Buff Thorn and I'm addicted to Codeine.

Edited by xcutioner_0: 11/24/2016 9:51:31 PMYou're not alone buddy. Thanks to a little OCD, I do many things such as that. Here are some: When I sort out weapons if they begin with the same letter, I sort them by the second letter. (Like BA then BB, etc) I always need to have at least 2 Exotic weapons on each slot on my guardian as a backup, 3 for heavy (one for each type). Since year 3, I have the urge to buy new higher light level version of exotics I already have in my Vault from Xur each week even though I don't use them at all.

I don't have a problem, I can stop anytime I want.
-
Same...I blame Call of Duty for it
-
Me too.

I really resonate with this post.

Hello. My name is LTCcherno and I'm addicted to the meta... It all started last Iron Banner. I got my ideal Clever Dragon and my ideal Matador days later from the weekly crucible bounty. Ever since then, I just couldn't stop. I even use thunderstrike with my Matador... My friends and family all tell me to break the meta, and try something new... But... I... Just can't... They held an intervention for me yesterday and got me to come here...

1) Open up your controller 2) Put a piece of paper or tape under the X button 3) You can't reload manually anymore 4) Profit?
