I have been playing destiny for as long as house of wolves came out. I realise that is not long enough for people to actually listen to what I have to say but am writing this hoping the community and hopefully bungie would consider implementing some of these suggestions.
*Note* destiny was the first game I actually played PvP (competitively) on. I guess it's why the mechanics don't bother me because I learnt to play it fresh and didn't carry any knowledge (or in some other players cases) didn't force mechanics from other competitive PvP games onto destiny...it's a unique game and must be appreciated in that form, we shouldn't try to turn the game into COD, or Halo or any other fps out there.
With that in mind, I do agree this game is not perfect. But instead of focusing on problem we all know has reached the ears of bungie, let's put together other things that need to be addressed.
PVP
1. Locations: why are we not notified of the place a crucible match is going to take place before the end of the loading screen and beginning of the match? Different maps require different load outs to bring out the best out of a player and also to let you know that the new fusion rifle you want to try out, isn't going to be good here lol. The solution for this is simple, just write "setting course for ...." Before the launch off into the loading screen, better yet let ghost say it.( That seems like a stretch but...I can dream yeah).if we are informed about the locations before the loading screen where we see our ships "flying?" To the destination, we could use that time to alter our load outs based on the map mentioned.
2. Trials Rewards: I play trials every week, I was lucky to find great teammates and we go to the light house every week. Naturally I noticed somethings. There is no motivation for 9 wins.... literally none whatsoever. You realize people that are at 8 wins and ONE loss (no mercy) delete their cards and start afresh. This is because at 9th win with a loss, "you were victorious in the trials" but you don't get anything where as for 5 wins and 7 wins you are rewarded. Solution is simple, reward people for completing the card with wins. Give them one of the two items they get from the chest on mercury...that way when they manage to go flawless later on the get the other reward. So if you go 9 - 2, and you get an armor piece, then if you later go flawless you get the weapon from the chest along with your ornament and your exotic chance. This way more people will be available for 8th and 9th matches.
3. Passage coins: passage coins should be easier to come across especially in the trials. Something like getting 2 coins after every win and 1 coin after a loss or 1 coin for a win and no coins for losing. So people playing trials can keep playing it. Passage coins should still drop elsewhere as a way of inviting players to the trials.
4.faction packages: why don't they go to the post master if you rent up twice? I think they used to but please don't quote me on that, I can remember because I always went for them as soon as I got them, buy when you are on a roll...like you are in a good strike team of random or a good PvP lobby, you won't want to leave to pick just one package. And you shouldn't be forced to.
I realise am not the first on to point out these reasons but I do hope they get enough attention to be discussed on a higher level.
