Why the Outbreak Prime quest should be fixed
When I saw the first "How to get Outbreak Prime" video, I was pretty happy that there was something else for me to grind for, but I knew it would be a while before I got into a raid to actually start the quest. So about 2 months later, I finally finish the raid and am able to start the quest, but there was a problem... nobody is doing the quest anymorw which causes problems for those that are just starting it, such as I. I can't find another titan and warlock, that are on the same step as I am, to actually get past part 2 or 3 depending on how you look at it. It should be changed in such a way that does not require a fireteam the entire time, such as the puzzles, the raid bit is fine; because people are still doing the raid weekly. This quest was a great idea to begin with, but now it is just frustrating
Update: After about 2 weeks of having the quest I finally got a team to get most of it done, thanks to the community for all the help and clearing things up for me. I still think Bungie should make it a little easier on us to complete the quest, so feel free to use this post to talk about what you think should be done with the quest, wether that be nothing or a complete overhaul.

God what is with u people, easier NO NO NO NO u just want everything handed over easily. I still see people forming groups to finish this quest in bungies recruitment section.

For the engine/math parts, all you need is people that have completed the ENTIRE quest so they can buy the engines Only thing that needs fixing is the HUGE delay for the last math part to complete. We had to wait a FULL 10 minutes for it to cash in

There are people recruiting on the app for the stages, you just have to keep on top of its when looking for a team.

You could always start your own recruitment post. Side note I don't think it needs to be changed at all. It is one of the most fulfilling quests this game has offered in my opinion. I just finished the quest a couple weeks ago. Hopefully you get a group soon, it's an epic gun.

Not all of the steps require a fireteam. Only step 2 and the puzzle pieces in the social area.

Lol. They don't have to be on same step as you. Friends who have already completed it, can simply obtain another puzzle piece. For example I am a warlock. If I have not done it yet, but my friends a titan and Hunter who have done it already, can simply go to Shiro, obtain the puzzle piece and complete it with me. The other physical missions can be done in a similar manner. Just make sure you have 1 of each class.

They don't need to be on the same step. You can even do it with people who have already done the quest. And saying that there are nomore people who do this quest is just wrong. There are still people upgrading from PS3 or people who just bought the game.

One thing is that the normal siva engine should be for sale, only the charged and the unstable ones are for sale. I know that I would be happy to help anyone with a quest and I it's exactly what I do. Every raid I go into I will do all monitors if even one person hasn't done it. What step are u on? I will help if I can. I am a Titan and I have a friend who is a warlock.

You can get anyone who has already completed it to help you with those parts. They just need to pick up the decoding piece you're on from shiro. I'm pretty sure they're free.

You don't need the classes to be at the same step as you. First part only need them in the foretell For siva codes, they just need to be in fireteam Also after you complete the quest you can get the siva cores from Shiro again so you can help others get past it. I have completed it on my warlock and helped several friend get there quest done, just by being in the fire team. So no the quest doesn't need to be fixed, you should actually look this stuff up before complaining about it.

I thought the same, but was corrected by some folks who already had the weapon. The other guardians who help you can have already completed the quest. They can get free copies of items needed from Shiro to assist you as you go through the paces. So you don't need other guardians on the exact same step as you, just other guardians who have completed the quest (or ones on the same step as you). I as well have not even received the quest.

4 RepliesCould someone elaborate on the 8th step, getting the 3 pieces or whatever from the bosses in the raid. Can you do this alone considering its a 6 man team? And can you actually just "farm" so to speak, one boss instead?
