I'm unable to join fireteam (STILL A PROBLEM FOR MANY)
For the past several months my sister and I have been having issue joining the same fireteam on the same network. We have gone through every solution from naming the xboxes, different mac addresses, open nats, DMZ's, hard resets.....You name it. We are hardcore destiny players. It takes at least 30 minutes every night to go through different solutions till one just happens to work by luck. We've even changed service providers. I have also seen so many post from other players having the same issue dating back a long time. I've seen that destiny is aware of the problem BUT THAN WHY HAVE THEY DONE NOTHING!!!! Please if you have this issue please comment and let bungie know that we dont need primary weapon buffs but we do need this problem fixed and we need it fixed NOW!!!!

On top of now a constant contacting Destiny servers and booted from everything including patrols. NOT OUR INTERNET. Sick of this shit. I won't purchase any more bungie products. (Loved the game so much we have custom stickers on our cars but this non customer service is bullshit) BUNGIE YOU SUCK!

We are loosing interest. Maybe we will start playing Overwatch instead.... Really a drag when you spend $200 on it - some on Bungie!

Edited by Marre: 11/15/2016 6:14:05 PMTry to bridge one of the ports one of the Xbox's uses. And by port I mean what ever port the Xbox wire is using (my router got 4 ports). Solved my problem.

1 ReplyTry this... This is almost a daily routine for my son and I.... On xbox one... We both login into the game and go to a planet/tower/or just stay in orbit...we both try to connect to each other and get the unable to connect error. We then do the following at the same time.. Guide - start - quit - A (1 of us calls it out) We are now on title screen... Count down 321 go. Press A Once on char screen ..321. Press A Then we try to join.. So far it worked every time since we started having the problem and started using this method. It doesnt always work the first try though sometimes we have to do it 3 times but it does eventually work!. You can give this a try hope it works for you! Note: This only happens with Destiny every other function of xbox live and other games do not have this problem. It happened to us after we got ROI expansion. This is certainly not an issue with your router or service provider

My son and i have the same problem (xbox one) and since about the same time frame , end of July(ish) have tried everything and was able to connect once in that time frame (July up to now) i have tweated @bungiehelp AT LEAST once a month since July and still no fix ... Bungie !!!

5 RepliesEdited by Andraste_Blaze: 11/12/2016 8:00:03 PMHusband and I have had the same issue since the 26th July patch but we've found a temporary fix. None of Bungies "fixes" worked for us. Both turn on console, start Destiny and log in at the same time. One stays in orbit, the other tries to join. When the unable to join pops up, close Destiny and restart the console. Try again. It can take us anywhere up to 8 tries but more often than not it works. We're ps4 but have shared this numerous times and apparently it does work on Xbox. I hope it helps. And yes, bungie should have fixed this bloody months ago.

Was able to play on a local network for a week and now we can't join each other. WTF?

We have had the same problem too. It's been more since ROI. Both PS4. If something does happen to work, then it only last for maybe 30-45 mins until one of us is stuck in orbit. It's super annoying. If random tweaks make it able to "work" for a short time and nothing else to be a cure all, then I'm really confused as to how it's my internet connection.
