In these United States of America, we have elected 43 presidents to date. Some, including George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, are beloved by all. Others are looked upon less favorably, such as Richard Nixon or William Taft. As we are a diverse nation, there are many opinions of those who have been chosen to serve this office. That being said, who is your favorite president and why?

FDR. New Deal, led the country through WW2 and out of the depression. Lincoln probably had the hardest presidency of all with the civil war. Mad props to him. JFK. I imagine if he was never killed we would have gotten the best parts of LBJ's presidency but minus the escalation of Vietnam. RIP Jack

Franklin D. Roosevelt A true man of the people, all of the people... "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." "The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little." "It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something." "When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on." "Human kindness has never weakened the stamina or softened the fiber of a free people. A nation does not have to be cruel to be tough." "If you treat people right they will treat you right... ninety percent of the time." "A conservative is a man with two perfectly good legs who, however, has never learned how to walk forward." "We must remember that any oppression, any injustice, any hatred, is a wedge designed to attack our civilization."

If I had to choose, I might name Theodore Roosevelt. He is an individual that sounds more myth than man. This man was part of the Rough Riders, founded the national park system, read at least one book a day, and delivered a ninety minute speech with a bullet lodged in his chest. “If you could kick the person in the pants responsible for most of your trouble, you wouldn't sit for a month.” ― Theodore Roosevelt “Keep your eyes on the stars, and your feet on the ground.” ― Theodore Roosevelt “Speak softly and carry a big stick; you will go far.” ― Theodore Roosevelt “The things that will destroy America are prosperity at any price, peace at any price, safety first instead of duty first and love of soft living and the get-rich-quick theory of life.” ― Theodore Roosevelt
