I think there's a pretty fundamental difference between the anger and hate projected by the Republican party, which is directed at other people, and the anger and hate that is going on in the streets right now, which is directed at the process. The people feel like the system failed them.

I'm not a republican, I'm not sexist, and I'm not racist but I know damn well that trump is better than Clinton.
either way, both are terrible
Edited by superassassin364: 11/13/2016 5:37:35 AMSo... many... generalizations this whole damn election...
-
Generalisations everywhere these days. Wait. Aren't the trump supporters the ones complaining about making generalisations? Interesting...
-
It will be hard for trump to be worse than obama and nobody was burning flags when he was elected again. (•__•)
-
Burning flags, vandalism, Trump supporters assaulted, graffiti with the words "kill whites" on a landmark in New Orleans... All over what they believe will happen. Not over anything that has happened or that Mr. Trump has actually advocated. Madness...

These next 4 years definitely interest me.

Poking fun at the heavily vocal and obnoxious/dangerous minority is good for cheap likes but it never really holds any value in: -persuading people from a different viewpoint in changing their opinions -easing the ever increasing tensions between Conservative and Liberal groups -rationalizing your viewpoint to others considering a similar political stance -any form of constructive discussion at all Just because you're copypasting reasonably articulated jibes from reddit, doesn't make it any better as social commentary than xboxdotcom's ubiquitous shitposts from last year. The only discussion value I can salvage from this post is to point out that hate crimes are an overreaction that isn't exclusive to Democrat voters, but even that comment will be lost on this community and somehow turn into a Youtube comments-tier shit flinging contest with some 14 year old literally who that desperately tries to restructure /pol/ posts into relevant rebuttals. Peace.

I like how the destiny forum is now less poison than offtopic.

Edited by Stallcall: 11/11/2016 6:07:59 AMWhat's even more ironic is that our good friends the "Anti-Fascists" are typically the biggest fascists you'll ever meet in your life. Actually, I like to remind DemSoc's that they're the ones continuing fascism's legacy - at least the socioeconomic bits of it. Pic definitely related. What candidate does that sound like? Breadline Bernie, perhaps?

If Trump lost, his supporters would have acted the same way.

Bringer of salt.

Considering some of the recent events and the degenerates Trump unknowingly brought out of hiding, I'd say Americans are just angry, hateful and very divided people. But riots have become a thing But it's not like people don't riot over sports teams losing so it's whatever

Hating anything is hard. I'd respect someone dedicated to their opinions and peacefully protesting. It won't change anything but still
