These are the proportion of kills per weapon in this iron banner as of November the 10th 2016
And just in case it wasn't showing clear enough , I highlighted the proportions for matador and clever dragon and other shotguns and pulses here

Community: Buff primaries! Bungie: Here's a good primary. Community: Nerf that primary! Bungie: That primary has been nerfed. Community: Why nerf that primary? Buff primaries!

Not that bad overall. I am tired of high caliber rounds though.
-
Yea I run my Imago, last ditch, and Raze-Lighter/Arc exotic sword. ~ATullo~
-
Nothing needs to be nerfed. All primaries should be buffed to be as effective as The Clever Dragon. The Clever Dragon Is an EXTREMELY fun and satisfying gun to use, imagine if all guns felt that way?
-
Summary: Pulse Rifle + Shotgun = Win Are there numbers on what classes/subclasses are using what overall? I see a ton of Titans and Warlocks with shotguns and Hunters using Snipers, I'd be interested to see how class plays into this.
-
The MOST I'm getting killed by is shotgun + warlock melee.......there's something wrong when a melee has more range than most shotguns in the game

Edited by Lord Yoink N Bag: 11/12/2016 3:30:47 PMAn I the only guy still using Doctrine of Passing? My secondary is a fusion btw
-
I think that the Dragon and the Matador are not overpowered. All the other guns are just terrible.
-
Just played a few matches where I did quite well with a Monte Carlo and DIS-43. That full auto scout in particular owns Clever Dragon at range. Check out my warlock. Max stability, great range and impact. Are there guns that can beat it? Sure. But as long as people want to flood the arenas with Clever Dragons, I see an opening for guns that can exploit the weaknesses. Don't know about anyone else, but I'm already noticing people dropping away from it.

-
I hope they don't nerf the clever dragon, because finally I have a weapon that can beat the grasp of malok.
-
I'm surprised they are that low.
-
How many clever dragons were used as fusion fodder this week? I felt like Oprah was handing the damn things out. "Every one look under their seat..."
-
When the amount of shotgun kills is almost equal to the amount of Hand Cannon, Scout, and Auto rifle kills combined.
TRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
I've been using PDX-45 Havoc Pigeon Truth

So more than half weapon kills are primaries and of that 1/3 are folks using their newest drop. Sounds spot-on to me. The matador archetype is a different story though. I am of the belief that shottys should be more of a range vs impact trade off, instead of rof vs impact. Make the longest range ones require some precision, like chaperone. Make the hardest hitting ones absolutely destroy active supers at ultra close range but lose steam quickly over a few meters, so each type has a most effective range.
-
Well, I have gotten about 12 dragons to drop so far and I use them to see which one I like... just a thought though.
-
Going from this graph, shotguns are the same - whether it be the Matador or not. Whatever. Clever Dragon is beat by use of other Pulse Rifles. Meaning, primary is being used more. The weapon isn't OP. It's being used as intended. Doesn't need a nerf.

I want to ask a serious question now. Why is winning so important to you that you feel you just have to go to the meta, doesnt it get boring using the same shit day in day out just to make sure you "try hard" then you all scream & cry when those weapons are nerfed untill theyre useless. IB doesnt require you to win anymore neither does normal crucible so why are you always trying so hard, whats wrong with just using a weapon for a bit of fun? Is it because your stats are combined & those stats mean more to you than life itself or is it that you find winning more fun than actually just having fun. Im really bored of getting killed by nothing but dragon & matador while im using shit like first curse & NLB or any cannon & chaperone just to try & mix it up abit. Its the same when you try & have a bit of fun by dancing with people they just kill you & shade step like they had to counter something then tbag & run away. I actually had a guy shade step 3 times & use his bones full triple jump just to kill me while I was stood dancing with him like he was trying to kill the greatest player ever. Ive had messages this IB asking me why Im using guns like first curse because theyre shit or guys with TLW tbagging because they out shot me while I had first curse. I dont understand why knowimg that bungo nerfs everything to destruction that people like to use would you carry on just never swapping weapons because of your stats or because you need to win. Just go have a bit of fun ffs.

Im pretty confident that shottys and fast pulses will get nerfed. I mean look at this mess...

Edited by TrooperHR: 11/12/2016 4:57:01 AMGreat "variety" bungie. Lots of "choice" bungie. Working as "intended" bungie.

Edited by Sir Michael: 11/12/2016 2:42:40 AMI want to use Eyasluna and Lingering Song so bad, but they don't have the range to compete anymore, plus I keep getting staggered to hell with all of these team-shooting High-Caliber Clever Dragons. It's either people are just head glitching and camping choke points with the Dragon or they're running around with Matador the entire round shotgun-meleeing people. This is the worst Crucible has been in a long time, there's no way Bungie can properly balance this before Destiny 2 comes out.
-
I've seen more scout rifles and hand cannons then auto rifles so I'm saying that part is not true
-
Thanks I'm color blind

The sad fact of the matter is that snipers are only useful if they don't see you, or are far enough away that only a high zoom scope can allow you to get a headshot on a moving target, otherwise, flinch makes the basically useless. Snipers are supposed to reward precision kills at a distance, regardless of whether or not you're spotted. I've been flinched by auto rifles to the point where my sniper was useless, at optimum sniper ranges. Something needs to change, that's the bottom line.

Interesting stats - my impression was that I was getting killed a lot by both the clever dragon, and shotguns (especially the matador), but there did still seemed to be reasonable variety. From the stats, it seems a bit more balanced than I thought. The high rate of use of them both shouldn't be surprising, given that the clever dragon is dropping like crazy this week (plus the nice vendor one! ), and given the hype over the return of the matador. Hopefully things will settle down soon, once people get over their shiny new toys.
