I was watching Byf and Myelin lore videos and I have come up with my own speculative theory: Could the [i][b]Nine[/b][/i] have made a bargain with Ahamkarra(s) to survive during/after the collapse? These Humans, first born Awoken, Exos, Frames & Warminds (possibly even Fallen) were the furthest from the Traveler's Light and must have been desperate to survive. This sound's similar to the Hive's Bargain at the beginning of their history. Ahamkarra were known to be powerful beings that made bargains with other species. This would mean that the Ahamkarra are not extinct after all. Only eradicated from the inner solar system. Keep in mind most Guardians have never travelled to the Reef much less to the Jovian Worlds. Could this "bargain" have led to what we see now as Xur? Could this be a further evolution/courruption of humanity by the exposure to the Deep/Darkness? This could also lay a foundation to understanding the motives of the Nine. They have one singular goal - SURVIVAL. They will do anything and side with anyone for survival. This theme seems to be a growing theme in all of Destiny.
