The current state of the Unities States political system is nothing more than depressing, and at best horrifying. This thought has existed within me for years now, and I believe this sentiment has existed within the population for decades now. The two party system has strangled our political system to the point that 3rd parties are nothing more than an after thought. Nobody is ever going to reform the system, as those benefiting from the current state of things are the ones with the authority and power to change the current state.
No congress comprised of Republicans or Democrats will ever enact legislation that removes financial donations from large entities from political campaign, because both parts benefit from this system.
Understand something B.net. We exist in a society where we have a congress that has an approval rating of 11%, and a reelection rate of incumbents at 96%. To put that in perspective, that's almost equivalent to the rates of reelection of incumbents to the Soviet Parliament.
This is the current state of things. The issues that matter aren't "should trans people use a bathroom of their assigned gender or birth sex..." No, the issue that matters is that the entire system is a failure. We need to reform our political system before we can move forward.
Now why did I vote Trump you might ask!? Well, I'll break it down to a few points.
1. Hillary Clinton is nothing more than a corporate shill.
This isn't up for debate. If anybody questions this then please go look at the public donors list. It's full of Wall Street banks, and large entities include Microsoft. It's staggering that she can so openly accept money from large banks, and then make public speeches about "going after the banks." It's almost as if she's lying to the public.
Not only is she a shill, but she speaks empty rhetoric. It doesn't mean shit if Hillary gives lip service to some minor issue. She doesn't actually believe what she speaks.
2. -blam!- the DNC
Now, the RNC is equally corrupt to the DNC. I need to preface this, as I know people will call me out for being "biased." The DNC rigged the primary election, and treated Bernie supports like total shit. They treated us like we were criminals, and they throw ballets out in California, and possibly other states as well. The DNC and Hillary colluded, with the intent of completely crushing Bernie, which is all laid out thanks to the leaks that have gone been published on Wikileaks.
Now this would be fine and all because hey the DNC is a private organization.
Well, they have special privileges that ensure only the DNC and RNC candidates can really only get elected. This is the only path to change, and it's being subverted.
So -blam!- you DNC, and -blam!- you Hillary shills. I didn't submit my support for a criminal.
3. She's literally a criminal.
It's not even up to debate. Storing classified documents on a private sever, deleting emails requested, literally colluding with the FBI and giving those implicated with "immunity from destruction." Hillary belongs in prison.
4. She's a -blam!-ing hawk.
Hillary supports the military establishment. The wasteful spending on the military to project our power into shithole countries where we get our own people killed, and end up -blam!-ing up things more than we help is a disgrace. I agree with Trump on NATO. It's a meaningless organization. Are we going to be invaded by Russia? Maybe, but probably not. The Soviet Union is gone. Maybe we should consider lowering our expenditures on military projection when we're literally capable of destroying every naval force on the planet several times over. It's a -blam!-ing joke.
Why are we spending so much defending places like Western Europe when they spend less than 2% of their GDP on defense? It's not as if a country like Germany is poor. They have the money.
I'm an American, and I'd like that multiple billion dollar jet to go into improving America. Rebuilding infrastructure, building new and innovative projects, maintaining the roads, educating those with the means to pass college. In general, why are we wasting our tax money on defense when we have nobody to defend ourselves against?
Now, why I think trump might help change the system. I'll explain my thoughts in a point format again.
1. The general attacks on Trump are baseless
The media has shown it's true colors this election season. It's shown that it's nothing more than the extension of the rich and powerful, and their eyes have been set on keeping Trump out of office.
They say Trump is racist, and he's sexist. What a sack of shit. Trump is not racist. Have we forgot what racism means? Racism judging a person based on the aspect of their race alone. Has trump done that? No, of course not. Trump has shined light on the issue of illegal immigration.
Why is illegal immigration a problem?
Illegals have no social security number. That means they don't pay taxes, and don't get any benefits as a citizen. They're a strain on the system. If they get sick who pays their hospital bills? Nobody because they don't have health insurance.
Make them citizens or kick them the -blam!- out.
Is he sexist? No. Being attracted to females doesn't make you sexist. It makes you straight. Ffs. He's attacked women on an individual level, not women as a group. Calling a single woman a pig doesn't not equal believe women are lesser than men. How many males attack other males? Are they sexist towards males? No. of course not. Intent matters.
Now okay. Will Trump be able to do anything in office? Likely not. He'll have no support in congress. I'm certain even the republicans will block him. He'll never build the wall, and he'll never be able to achieve what he's promised, but he does have one key feature that I like.
2. The establishment hates him so I like him. It's that simple.
