I figured since I have played and beat all the dark souls games I shouldn't have much trouble with Bloodborne right? Wrong! I can't get the hang of having a gun. Haha. Going to be be a frustrating game.
Edit: I will start to treat as parry. Any other tips/tricks are welcome.
Edit: Be aggressive and always remember the 5 D's. Got it.

Always have molotovs, antidotes, and sedatives. Nothing wrong with being prepared. Also, if you struggle in dark areas, buy the hand lantern. It's cheap, it illuminates the dark, and you can still use your gun. Finally, don't trust the beggar you meet in the woods. You'll know what I mean when you get there.

Few tips Unlocked you roll, locked you quickstep. Very useful for a lot of situations and people tend to forget it a lot. Hunter of Hunters Covenant rune is the best. Hunters Pistol is one of the best guns in the game Chalice Dungeons, do them, blood gems, get them Use the Monocular to aim your gun like fps Fire + Oil = a beautiful burning beast Lightning is the Kinslayer And lastly, May the good blood guide your way

I found Bloodborne more difficult than DS3. It's up there with DS, DS1 for difficulty.

Cainhurst or Executioner? "We are born of fashion. Made men by fashion. Undone by fashion.. Fear going out of style, Lawrence.. By the gods.. Fear it." -Fashionmaster Willem

It's not juste treating the gun as a parry, it is the actual parry mechanic in bloodborne. Be in constant movement, some of the bosses I noticed that if they land the first hit of their combo, they'll continue on a spree, but if they miss one or two they'll just stop so watch out for those Welcome to the hunt

You can get a shield on the dlc but tbh..... GG and praise!

You get rewarded for a more aggressive play style, unlike the other souls games where it's a more defensive style Weapons don't repair themselves, you have to manually do it in the hunters dream. Other than that you'll be fine with your souls experience. Welcome to the hunt!

Just treat the gun as a perry shield and you'll be fine.

Edited by SeneschalGrigori: 11/8/2016 4:35:46 PMOnce you learn to parry with the gun you will tear through everything. The regain mechanic makes a lot of the game quite easy, especially if you are using the BoM or Scythe weapon. *mainly only had issues w/particular bosses*
