I hardly ever post on here but I'm so furious. I have just been banned from destiny for a month for network manipulation on Trials and PVP.
Now if i was a lag switcher or DDoser i would take it on the chin. I don't actually play that much pvp. I raid with my friends, do a little pvp to knock over bounties and hang out at forge.
I have only gone to the light house twice in three years, now if i was a network manipulator surely i wold be at the light house every week? I would of though bungie would of look at this.
I can only presume that i have been banned as i went to the lighthouse last week and we had a couple of sweaty close matches. Yes i may of red barred a few times during the card. I have a green bar 90% of the time.
Now why i am being punished for living in Australia and having to deal with bungies below par matchmaking?
Does anyone know if i can appeal against a ban or at least ask them how they came to this conclusion.

Just saw this same guy comment on Bungie's Iron Banner Facebook post :-D Maybe economize salt and don't cheat next time?
-
Love these posts tbh If your a cheat - haha, got what you deserved If your internet sucks- well that's your problem and you deserve to be removed from online for screwing it up for everyone else It's not Bungie's responsibility for your internet connection or lack of
-
Your biggest crime is living in Australia.
-
Could be worse. You could be banned from the forums just for having an unpopular opinion and not backing down when other people gang up on you. *shrug*
-
He wasn't being banned me and another guy from his fireteam played a prank on him by creating account and sending him a message saying we was from bungie and that he was going to be banned. The thing is it worked so well he guppied it up all the way. Very funny times.
-
*Translation* "I only lag-switched sometimes, and DDoS'd a few teams on my 7th through 9th wins. I thought I'd get away with it because I live in Australia and use dial-up. I'm not even grateful I didn't get a lifetime ban, like I deserve, because I really believe none of my actions should have consequences."
-
I hope you stay banned for the rest of your life.
-
Admit it, you work for Bungie and this is just a fake account to make people believe they actually do something to cheaters.
-
It's not "would of," it's "would've." As in "would have." The same is true of must've. The 've is used in a conjunction to represent have, not of.

That's a copy and paste comment from every cheater

Edited by SolarCerberuS: 10/28/2016 9:57:33 PMNo offence playing the Australia card is BS mate, Im in country South Australia and very rarely red bar and If I do its as a result of host migration. Unless you are streaming or downloading shit on other devices while gaming or dont know how to properly set up your network for gaming there is no legitimate reason for a consistently poor connection. And FYI majority of the time Im connected over Wifi and still manage to keep a stable green bar connection.

I have often wondered about pvp. I played battlefield 4 with 64 people in a match never experienced lag. Destiny in a 3v3 the other players lag out. Is it their internet or bungies servers. Just asking

Edited by GrundleBeans: 10/28/2016 9:47:49 PMIt's not a ban, it's a temporary restriction. One of the policies they've told us many times before is that they restrict players from certain activities if they have consistent activity of bad connections. This is to help ensure that other players with normal connectivity aren't being unfairly affected by others in matches. They also take a harsher approach to this when it comes to Trials, so all it takes is a few reports of you redbarring. No, you cannot appeal against any ban or restriction and they do not hand them out lightly either.
-
Australia is known for poor connection but in my opinion it shouldn't stop you from playing. You still bought the game.. Match making is the problem. If it matched you with people in oz it wouldn't be that bad. I know sassi is Australian and is one of the top destiny pvp players. They seem to ban honest players with poor connection while the cheaters ruin trials week in week out.
-
Later sucka!
-
Dude if they banned you for network manipulation it was geographic latency. You or someone on your team was deliberately manipulating the connection to gain an advantage. They can tell the difference. Learn a lesson from it and don't do it again.
-
Red bar warrior post is red bar
-
You ruin everyone's else's experience with your connection. The masses override you. Which is how it should be. Hard plug into the router. Problem solved. If you can't do that get a better router.
-
Enjoy the ban bruh
-
You don't just get banned for cheating they ban for crap Internet I guess it's so you have more free time to get better net or sit on here pouring out salt
-
Your shit internet ruins everyone else's experience. Try not to be so selfish. Ban deserved.
-
Red bar is no reason to get banned, cause everyone has a red bar every few games
-
Another red bar down... Thanks bungie! Keep them coming
-
good to see they ban cheaters like you
-
Bye bye cheater!
