6 RepliesHey there! I'm the author behind the ongoing Destiny series "RIP the Dream." It was brought to my attention that someone was RIPping me off (heh). There's a couple things I want to say: 1. Thanks to the people who read my stuff for being quick to defend it. I want to say, though, that before you start an argument in my name you should contact me first. I appreciate the zeal, but I don't want any negativity surrounding my work if possible. 2. I've checked out the video and it's really funny. Were I in OP's place, I also would have said "hahaha RIP the dream, m8s!" At least in my area "RIP the dream" or just "RIP" is common slang. So I don't think it's likely that OP was maliciously using #RIPtheDream. Now, if this had been a work of writing and OP used that tag, then yeah I think it would be likely that they were using the tag to siphon views. To recap: thanks for bringing this to my attention and I appreciate your willingness to defend the integrity of my writing, but in this case I don't think OP did anything wrong.
