Hi, I'm Log. I am a Guardian, just like you. I'd like to take a moment of your time to show you this video.
I am fortunate enough to be able to work with Myelin each week doing the Destiny Down Under Podcast. You may know him from his expansive catalogue of Lore on Youtube. When we were talking about how we'd love to do some good with a startup event, Movember was an obvious choice. But what I didn't realise was how incredibly personal it was for Myelin. In the video above, he speaks incredibly openly about the challenges he has faced in his personal life. Personally, I think this is an incredibly brave move, and not something I'm sure I'd have had the balls to do, were I in his shoes.
I understand there will probably be flack associated with posting something like this here, but come whatever may, I believe a movement like this belongs to the community. I was hesitant to post it at all, but after reading the comments on the YouTube video itself and the impact it had on people, I felt it was the right thing to do. It's us who can make a change right here and right now, by having the difficult conversations that go along with the video above.
Movember is a great place to start. As Australians, it's something that has become part of our culture over the past decade, and we are proud to share with with the Greater Destiny Community. The premise is simple, gain sponsors to grow a moustache for the month of November, and have a laugh while bringing Men's health issues that often go unspoken to the forefront.

Love his lore videos, but this is one video I will not watch. I mean talk about party pooper, nobody wants to hear all that.

We have movember in New Zealand as well. And it wouldn't surprise me if other countries do the same. I enjoy Myelin Games youtube channel btw.
-
Bump for awareness

Any friend of Myelin is a friend of mine. I was moved by his video yesterday.

As a prostate cancer survivor now dealing with a reoccurrence I applaud you for posting this. I've been a Movember supporter since it started.
-
Solid stuff boys! Looking forward to the campaign 😊 lets raise all the awareness!!

Stuff I can relate to. My grandfather died from prostate cancer in 2012, it hurt me so bad. Men need to get checked out. I remember going through my seperation with my ex-wife and starting a new job in a new state with no friends or family around. It was one of the roughest times in my life. Thankfully, it was around the time Destiny came out and I had just joined my clan. This game was my escape and playing with my clanmates helped me feel better.

You realize this forum is run by 11 year olds. Nobody is growing a beard.

Edited by GhostRydr: 10/25/2016 1:07:06 AMI can certainly relate to this topic as well. My father underwent treatment for this several years ago and, thankfully, everything seems took be control. My mother's brother, however, was recently diagnosed and the thing has already metastized in his bones. My elderly parents are his only caretakers and it's been extremely difficult for all. My sympathy is out for Myelin and any other folks in a similar situation.

-
Hey mate! What platform will you be playing on? I'd love to get involved and jump in with you blokes (mind you I'm 23 and struggle to grow facial hair lol) but at the end of the day it's about awareness. Could you send me some info on dates that you want to be streaming and I'll see what my work calendar looks like? Would love to hear back!

My dad and his coworkers did that once, they actually raised over 1,000 sterling
-
I always rock the movember stache. However I have a thing I like to call "Movember pre-season". Basically I need to start it in October.
-
I'll grow like the 2 mm I'm able to.
-
And down Axis with just a dickslam,.
-
Free prostate exams?
-
I have seen this very sincere video and it's great but I will warn you if/when this topic blows up there will be some edgy 12 year olds who think it's cool to hate on it just a warning
-
Incredibly raw, personal and sincere - these are really important topics that the "she'll be right mate" attitude of most males doesn't work with - It doesn't go away without care and attention. More air play on mental health is needed- well done Myelin for being so brave... Btw, I'm a past fellow mobro, if I can join your group and contribute sign me up... Cheers, Rowie
