Making your own exotic quest (Idea!)

Hey guys so for a long while I have wanted my own exotic to suit my play style. That is by no means to say that there are not exotics that I enjoy using but of them scream me. So that got me thinking maybe the gunsmith could make me one? After all I have tested over 200 weapons for him lol. So what if at rank 25 (same as the exotic class items for factions) we unlock a quest to build our own exotic? Now I know most of you here are thinking that, that would be overpowered. But what if we limit the options in the mechanics of the weapon? So let’s start with the basics at the beginning of the quest you are presented with 4 frames. A pulse rifle, an auto rifle, a scout rifle and a hand cannon. This frame would be extremely basic but the stats would be good for the archetype you choose. You would choose the type of gun and then the archetype. Next the gun smith needs to analyse your combat patterns. So let the killing begin, 200 kills to be precise (PVE or PVP doesn't matter) After that you will choose your perks the perks will have points assigned to them. I have taken the time of assigning points to the perks for the different guns 5 being the highest and 1 being the lowest and they are as follows (please bear in mind that you may disagree with some of these assignments however these if implemented may be completely different). For this I will separating these into mid tree perks (perks like reinforced barrel, extended mag and the like) primary perks, I will get onto exotic perks later. I think 7 would be good total number for the tree perks but I'll wait to see what you guys think =). Next the exotic perks, here is where I need you guys I have some ideas here. My idea is that there are two perks in the tree. So that this allows more variation in the exotics that are made, if there are say 7 perks for each option then there would be a total of 14 perks. Meaning that the number of exotics being able to be made is 49. The first few ideas are basic :- Kills increase super energy by a small amount :- 5 precision hits refund the magazine :- Aiming this weapon holds you in air for a short time As I said in this area I’m not sure on so I need help. However the idea is that you would choose two of these perks to go together to make your exotic perk they would need to be balanced against each other to work and compliment many play styles. The next step in the quest would be for the aesthetics you be presented with 5 options all with different amounts of weapon parts to use the start would be 25 this would then increase. 25, 50, 75, 150, 300 The more weapon parts you use the more aesthetic changes and parts will be available for the weapon. Next you would need to complete a special mission for the gunsmith this would be very hard and in a similar nature to the black spindle mission. The final part of the quest would be to make yourself one with the weapon by using 25 motes of light and name it. I’d love to hear your ideas on this guys. This would need to be better thought out but this is just my thoughts so that’s why I’m presenting it :). Hope to hear from you all soon.
