What? I'm not the one begging for Archons Forge to be easy mode. That would be you. And OP.

Seriously Freak you need some assistance. Never did I use the word "easier." I think they are perfectly difficult especially compared to CoO which I felt was much easier. What I'd like is when the encounter has 1:30 and the reset timer gives me 10 seconds but it takes 15 seconds to respawn and then open the Siva door for the encounter not to end. I'd rather it continue to countdown the regular timer so I can have another chance. So just to be clear, and simple, I don't want it easier, I want the opportunity to take advantage of the full encounter timer should I die. Hope this helps you understand this time around.

Pro tip: Don't die scrub. Adding in no penalty for death makes it objectively easier to complete. Learn what the word easier means kiddo.
-
This "kiddo," as with every activity in Destiny, there is room to die, respawn and continue activities save the Forge. Don't you have holidays to ruin or conspiracy theories to chase or your mom's basement to clean? Go away.

Pretty sure no one is asking for it to be easy. A longer timer to get back in the forge is what is being asked. Personally, if they extend the timer but keep the requirement of using a key to get back in and have you lose the offering if you fail is fine. Extending the timer does not make it easier. People like you are the cancer of this forum and game.

Extending the timer does make it easier because then it doesn't matter if you die. Lolwut

Edited by Lev the Devil: 10/23/2016 8:26:35 AMYes it does. The overall encounter is already timed and you're losing a portion of that to the respawn process. They're saying that that price can be paid when playing with other players (which is easier) but when playing solo (which is harder) that price cannot be paid as a death means failing the encounter since there's no one to resurrect you and the mechanic the put in place to resurrect yourself at the cost of a Splicer Key ends the encounter and doesn't refund the offering the way Court of Orxy does. Everything about this makes it harder and they're asking for balance that makes an existing game mechanic feasible without other players, how is that easier?

Edited by Roosevelt: 10/23/2016 3:44:03 PMAnyone who puts in an offering is doing so willingly. Nobody is forcing you to put it in by yourself. The way these people are talking makes it seem as if this is a big in game issue right now. If thats true for them, then this situation where they die in a solo forge happens frequently. If this does happen frequently, why are you complaining on the forums? You should either be trying to improve on your own play so that you're less likely to die, or you should find other people. Archons Forge is a PUBLIC EVENT. PUBLIC. It is DESIGNED for more than one person. You can't tell Bungie that they need to make their public event more suited for solo play, that defeats the entire point of it. Why don't kids these days enjoy a little challenge? Instead they go in expecting everything to be handed to them. Go play MegaMan on NES. Go play Life force, or Silver Surfer. Those games are incredibly challenging (Silver Surfer is actually too hard), but that's a good thing. It gives you a sense of accomplishment everytime you beat a stage. Where's that sense of accomplishment if you win because you have seemingly infinite lives? That's what these people are asking for. If I go into forge solo, I'm expecting a challenge. And I'm up for that challenge. These little kids you're defending are not up for the challenge, and I don't think Bungie should cater to people who aren't willing to even try.

Wow you are all kinds of jerk aren't you. Extending the timer or not having that stupidly long animation allows getting back in to the fight. If you are really terrible and have used up all your keys to get back through the door then, yes you are done. If you get back in and can't finish before the event ends then you are done. Doesn't make the mechanics easier. No player is so amazing that the don't sometimes get killed through a mistake or whatever. Even you bud.
lolwut
Edited by xDarkTempest-: 10/21/2016 9:29:31 PMI don't think bungie intended for it to be soloed though I'm a solo player but I do understand that not everything can or should be soloed.
-
Why should you be allowed back in so easily if you die? As long as one other person is alive, you can get back in. The keys are meant for people who die in a bad spot and can't get revived, or for people who show up after its started. They arent "free death" keys. They arent get out of jail free cards. When you give an offering solo, you should be aware that dying isnt an option. Simple as that. I guess I'm a jerk for understanding how forge works lmao
-
No, you're a jerk because of the way that you rudely dismiss people. Sheesh.
-
Sarcasm flew way over your head I guess. Sorry, but scrubs deserve to be dismissed
-
You are so stupid it physically hurts me.

And you're muted, thanks for being so toxic and rude
