Lets talk about serious issues with carbon emissions. I know there are some users who still wont accept these issues but this is also informative to those that do.
The ocean water we all know and love is special to us. For instance, we have a MUCH lower carbon content in our atmosphere than our closest neighbors (mars and venus). This is due in part by our ocean's ability to absorb carbon dioxide fron the atmosphere and change it to carbonic acid... which in turn gives us carbonates and bicarbonates.. Which is used to protect our sea water's pH. The Ocean, in result, changes in pH and calcium carbonates (you know like chalk). For more information go online and type in pH regulation of seawater (i dont want to look shady and post a pdf file myself or anything)
So what? The pH changes a little with the carbonic acid but the Ca ions are there to fix this! Now lets say we increase that carbon supply. Lets dump more carbon for our oceans to process. Lets drop that pH alot more. This is called OCEAN ACIDIFICATION. Acid.. sounds bad? Well it is. If our blood gets too alkaline or acidic, it can be deadly. That logic can and will apply to the fish too.
I will leave a link below to the damage it can cause within the shelled, skeletoned, and coral communities. This by extension affects the oceanic food chain and ours as well. It will also show the history and future of increased ocean acidification. I will also link a john hopkins study on the increase of plankton in reflection of the increased carbon. I can link how the coral reef is dying but im sure you all know about it already. No it is not dead yet that memoir was early but it is dying (if you know what i am talking about). Final link will show just some data and research from MIT. Dont forget there are plenty if online pdf sources and other places.
Any questions? Feel free to use this to spread the word and argue the problems as well as the proof of increased carbon emissions.

Breathing creates carbon. All humans should stop breathing and cut down those nasty carbon emissions. Save the planet, kill the human race!

If I ever find myself in a position of unparalleled global power, my first order of business would be to initiate a mass sterilization effort to render a sizable percentage of the population infertile. I'd also close down sperm banks and order some controversially violent punishments for prostitution. Oh, and illegalize the further production of pornography that risks the chance of impregnation. Basically just a huge effort to decline the population's growth rate.

The oceans are dying. The soil is radioactive. And, the human population is booming. I can't believe people still question our military spending. The shit will obviously hit the fan. But, we Americans will starve last.

The volcano that erupted in Iceland released more carbon emmisions than the human race could put out in 200 years.

In 1980 it was global cooling with a catastrophic ice age coming by the 1990's to 2000's. By the early 2000's it was global warming with a catastrophic melting of the ice caps and 60 ft sea level rise by 2015-2016. Now it is climate change with catastrophic climate failure and an unlivable planet by 2040. Anyone else see a pattern here? I mean every piece of "research" and every leading scientist said that the north pole would be gone by 2015-2016 and yet its still here. Now global warming is no longer the term and the dates have been pushed back yet again. This is my whole problem with these global warming conspiracy theorists. They also completely ignore 3 things that are vital to our climate and our planet and we have no control over whatsoever. The first is the sun. The sun goes through cycles of increased output and decreased output which in their minds has no effect whatsoever on our overall climate despite the vast amount of energy that basically powers all life and our weather cycles coming directly from the sun. These cycles also correspond to their claims of either cooling or heating yet again it must be a non factor. Its not like a 1% increase or decrease in solar output could change our planets temperature a few degrees right? The second biggest thing is volcanoes. While old research shows that volcanoes had "little effect" on the climate newer research has shown many interesting things such as larger output of gas many times more than previously thought, long term impacts that can be seen globally such as affecting temperature years after an eruption, and the release of exotic more harmful gasses not previously measured. Volcanoes were solely responsible for melting the Snowball Earth (a period when the entire Earth froze solid on the surface). They also are held responsible for completely melting the poles in the past for a Tropical Earth system, and yet must have little to no impact on our climate today when many go off... Seriously? The final aspect is CO2's vast insignificance compared to other greenhouse gasses. Methane for example is actually extremely harmful compared to CO2 but is often ignored and considered insignificant. Even water vapor, yes water, has a greater warming effect than CO2 and simply having more moisture in the air can cause fiercer storms and extreme changes in temperature in either direction. In fact it is the biggest and most abundant greenhouse gas. Water vapor is a greenhouse gas that has much stronger effect on climate so what do we do? We push for hydrogen and water vapor based cars because that will be a non harmful emission vehicle. I mean come on... This is basic things about the greenhouse effect and yet even that is ignored. So keep date setting and claiming the apocalypse is near in a different form every decade. It definitely doesnt make you look like those end of the world fanatics or religious fringes that claim similar things every few years.

Carbon is 0.04 percent of our atmosphere and of that percentage humans only generate 4%.

I love reading and hearing about Leo DiCaprio. He's so crazy about climate change. He tries to get awareness up. I wonder if he ever uses a car? Gets driven in a car? Does he fly anywhere? It's the same as someone telling everyone not to eat mean because it kills the fluffy animals, yet they eat meat all the time.

I hope you know that people who deny carbon emissions will only read the title and repeat a whole planned out "argument" that they all use.
PS the majority of US citizens believe everything they're told until there's actual fact backing it
Whatever al gore. Theres been 5 mass extinctions in earths history. None of them were caused by humans. So go shove your nwo climate agenda up a baby fur seals behind.

We are the vermin that will kill our host eventually. But hey, might aswell enjoy it while it lasts right? I mean sure we could try to save our planet. But She doesnt need saving. She'll survive. And in the end She will thrive. I mean hell. She survived a meteor. A -blam!-ing meteor! Sure it killed like almost everything on the planet. But it made way for mammals and birds. Like I said, She will survive and She will thrive. Another Ice age is gonna hit us in a few hundred or thousand years. We'll have to stop it, endure it, or just leave. We'll probably just stay here and face alot of wars, crises, and just alot of other unpleasant things which will cripple our civilisation.

Edited by The Cellar Door: 10/22/2016 8:03:20 PMhttp://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v466/n7306/abs/nature09268.html I've posted this a few times, but it is very relevant. Also worth noting that the most substantial group of organisms which are responsible for regulating atmospheric carbon levels (i.e. the carbon cycle) are Phytoplankton, and they are dying at a very fast rate as a direct result of anthropogenic actions. Practically all species of Phytoplankton are photosynthetic, which means that they take carbon dioxide and sunlight to make energy. They are the producers for the entire ocean. These organisms are so ubiquitous, that they are responsible for half of the biospheric net production on Earth (not just in the ocean). So it follows that in producing so much energy, that they are the main thing controlling atmospheric carbon levels, as they take in carbon in order to create energy. The study above shows that since 1950, their population has declined by 40% as a direct result of increased atmospheric carbon and warmer ocean temperatures. The on going rate given by this study is 1%/year moving forward. Another interesting facet of this research is that phytoplankton populations under the Arctic Ocean's ice sheet are actually growing, despite all other areas seeing a population decrease. This is problematic for two reasons: A) It tells us that the ice sheets are thinning. B) More Phytoplankton = more energy being produced = more heat being released = ocean water warmer = ice sheets melting faster. This isolated growth of phytoplankton will accelerate the rate at which the ice sheets are melting. This is bad news, and the fact that we can't come together as a planet to make serious adjustments is abysmal.

I'm doing my part! Instead of big gas guzzling, beautiful V8 classics I've begun to purchase and modify four and six cylinder cars and trucks. Which I then promptly strip the smog gear out of, tune to be competitive and drive everywhere - including to the corner store. Baby steps.

While I agree we need better energy, that shit costs a lot of money. From middle class citizens who just barely make 6 figures a year because God forbid your boys, Soros and Bilderburg fund it. Until I see them pay for something for once in their old decrepit lives, none of us should have to either.

Edited by Lordsa Jar-Jar: 10/22/2016 1:21:16 PMDon't you pay attention to the news? Trump has already cleared this up, It's a ploy by the Chinese to get us wasting money on trying to fix it. So is global warming, all Chinese.

Lol kids talking about shit they have no clue about. Carbon is the creation of all life on earth we are all carbon based, the carbon being omitted is already there we don't cause climate change this has been debunked over and over especially since no predictions have come true and the name keeps changing first it was global cooling, then global warming then man made climate change its all bullshit. Reason why it's not global warming anymore? We're on a cooling trend now so that debunks that claim Point is live your lives government can't do anything about it and nor should they, just live your life

So if we are causing global warming then who caused the ice age???
or was that normal???
