Ghosts are fragile things, evident in the Iron Lord grimiore. The way that Felwinter destroys the ghost of the Warlord Citan is easy. Just a single shotgun blast.
Now let me bring something up. In playlists that allow revival between teammates, such as Salvage or Trials of Osiris, your ghost is protected by force field like shields. Have you noticed them? They're blue.
In the Perun grimiore, they continuously stand in front of each other's ghosts to avoid being killed. With those force fields, you don't need that.
But, look at Mayhem playlists, or clash, or even control. When you die, your ghost has no force field around it. Why is that? If it is true "chaos" like shaxx says, then why does your ghost have no protection?
I would like you guys to think about this. Maybe there are unspoken rules in the crucible. We don't know. It's our job as the community to theorize the lore. Think about it some. Thank you.

Perhaps when in the Crucible, ghosts know that there is no true imminent danger; as Guardians are killed and will be revived again; in the sport of combating friendlies. Therefore, no shield is needed, as the ghost does not perceive fighting in Crucible as a true danger. However, when combating our enemies across the stars, the ghosts have the realization of throwing a shield up to protect themselves, knowing full well a revive might not be possible. Not to mention, these enemies are really out to kill us; for good. That's my take on it at least.
