If you walk straight passed the Forge into the cave on the other side you come to a new area. Kill one enemy then slowly walk back to the Forge.
This matchmakers teams far better than just walking in. 9 times out of 10 it is full of people. Just join.
There is a general antagonism towards solo players on these forums which I have never quite understood. Just ignore it, you paid your money just like everyone else.
