Its a public event.
It is not intended to be soloed.
This game is designed to have MMO, like features. Part of that is the "emergent" multiplayer co-op play that happens during public events.
The Archon's Forge and Court of Oryx are just public events that give us control over how and when we initiate them. But they are still, public events.
What you're asking for is like someone in Year One----when a wipe in a Nightfall sent you to back to orbit and have to restart the strike---saying -that it was unfair to be booted to orbit if you died soloing the NF, because there isn't anyone there to revive you.
Sorry but if you want solo content that is not intended to be soloed, that's the risk you take.

I have to go out of my way and get on a website for something that should already have people in it? That's ridiculous, I'm not gonna get a fireteam together for a public event, it's patrol, ever since Destiny was thought of the idea is that players you don't know and didn't have to get online to meet are there and help out, getting on a website because it's not loading me in with something is just absurd and completely ruins the point
-
The website is easy, and probably better than something Bungie would implement. I can very quickly find people whether I'm on my phone or laptop. I can even post myself while I'm away from my console. It's 2016. It's extremely unlikely that anyone playing this game doesn't have a phone or laptop where they can easily go to any of the lfg sites.
-
Oh, of course it's easy, I'm not necessarily trying to say it's too much work to get on the website, just that's a bit silly to have to when it's meant to load you in with people and that's the main intention, you know?

So stupid you got to inconvenience ourselves by going to a website instead putting LFG in the game bungie
-
I'm perfectly fine with how it is now, I get to pick who I play with. Easily.
-
With in game LFG you could pick who you play too so it's not fine
-
If they literally took the LFG site and put it in the game, I'd be fine. But it wouldn't really help that much, it's just as easy for me to do on my phone or laptop
-
Sounds like a lot off people have no friends to play with. Add me if you want a friend. GT same

First of all I would to point out that comparing the Forge to the year one Nightfall is not fair. If that's still how the the Nightfall worked that would be one thing. However the Nightfall no longer boots you back to orbit when you wipe. Bungie changed that because they felt it overly encouraged playing it safe. Moreover I personally think your argument only makes sense if the rewards were greater if you soloed it, which they are not. A solo player has to deal with the same enemies in the same amount of time a group does, but without the benefit of being able to die like a member of the group can. Also as an aside. I have almost never seen a group of players wipe at the Forge. It is absurdly easy to just wait in a corner for everyone to spawn back in. If they do fail, it is due to time out.

1. The comparison is fair. Because in both activities, at team wipe is/was considered to be a complete failure of the activity. In the Year 1 Nightfall, you got booted back to orbit and had to start the strike over completely (which is why people played it so safe). In Archon's Forge, it ends the event....and you lose the offering that started it. 2. The content was not intended to be soloed. The number of enemies does not scale (AFAIK). Someone else has to revive you if you die in order for you to respawn in the fight...and NO allowances were made for solo players dying. As another poster stated here, People act as if Bungie OWES them the ability to solo every bit of content. They don't. This is end-game content. It gives end-game rewards. It is a public event that was designed to be completed by ad hoc teams of multiple player. If you wish to solo it, then that means accepting the added level of difficulty and the increased risk of failure. But also the greater sense of accomplishment when one is successful. 3. I've seen wipes. Its usually because people who were under-leveled were trying to do Perfected events. They wiped because they were too squishy and got taken out by the adds. Or they weren't able to do enough damage to the boss and ran out of time. 1 But an argument can be made that it isn't difficult enough for the rewards it gives....which is why I am so strongly against it being watered down even further, and removing the of the primary elements of difficulty from it.

You do realize/realise, that by creating this comment and by replying to other people's replies, you are just bumping this, correct?
-
Yes. But this is an important issue. Because a lot of people seem to believe that Bungie owes them the ability to solo everything in the game. I do not share that view.
-
Hi just got back from soloing the Fallen Walker and a Warsat. Which, you know, are public events. Just saying.
-
Gee..... ...and what up-to-light-level 400 rewards did you get from them? Oh...."None." You say? Just what I thought.
-
Gee. Does the level of rewards change the fact that all three of them are classified as Public Events? No? Can you in fact solo every other type of public event? Yes. Should there be the same grace period to return to battle that was in Court of Oryx? I think so. Thanks for playing
-
Edited by TheArtist: 10/22/2016 7:43:05 PMCourt of Oryx doesn't hand out end-game level weapons and armor as rewards. Archons Forge does. Which is why Bungie designed in a higher risk of failure, and a stronger penalty for failing than CoO. Pick up your consolation prize on your way out.
-
I forget other than King's Fall what was one of the sources of 335 artifacts after the April update? Oh yeah Tier 3 Court of Oryx bosses. Next?
-
Artifacts dont alter the balance of the game or raise player power levels. Basically place-holders....and they certainly aren't giving out light 400 ones like AF. But, by all means, keep digging. There must be a way out of that hole you're in somewhere in the bottom.....
Its a public event. It is not intended to be soloed.
Assertion based on the assumption of another's intent. No evidence given. Bad logic is bad.
-
No. Statement based on multiple prior statements by the developers over the course of three years, and features structured into the specific event itself. Care to play again?

What a shitpost you made
