I have a friend with no DLCs who through dismantling lvl 40 gear (3 legendary marks per dismantle) he has bought 3 lvl 30 weapons from the crucible quartermaster. He can max those with exotic drops to 300 light each. Each of those pieces of lvl 40 gear came from a reputation package of some sort so kudos to that effort involved (dismantling 50 lvl 40 pieces of legendary gear from packages would give you the necessary 150 marks to purchase one of these guns, another 150 for your second and then it gets easier because lvl 40 legendary engrams finally start dropping when you are at that light level and not before.) I myself have TDB and HoW but I don't own the Taken King, so I'm still rocking Icebreaker and the like, and I've done one of these lvl 30 upgrades, I've collected altogether about 190 legendary marks, just wondering if there are any other players doing it this way for the challenge of it.
