While a good plot is absolutely necessary, a soundtrack can make or break a show. For example, imagine Star Wars without its soundtrack. While it would still be a good series, we would view it differently.
That being said, if you were to create your own show, what would the plot and soundtrack be like? For example:
[u]Plot:[/u] I would make a detective show (could be police, but I'm leaning toward private) with some supernatural elements. Slightly film noir. As such, the sound track would be jazz heavy.
