Hey, Analytical Ghost here.
Rise of Iron has given us the opportunity to put many of our favorite iron lord's stories to rest. Including the one whom was tasked with a duty, Colovance.
Colovance was a warlock, most likely due to his artifact being a warlock artifact, "Colovance's choice."
The card "Ghost Fragment: Dark Ages 3" detail the journal of Colovance.
I have followed his latest missives on SIVA and it is flooded with mania. Whatever he thinks this Clovis Bray might hold would make you believe that they were the only entity of any technical know-how, that they owned every piece of that tarnished Golden Age.
In the card, he calls the man he's describing his "master". This person was most likely Timur, due to Timur being the one who researched SIVA, using the records of Clovis Bray. Through the card, Colovance describes his suspicion of likely danger to come, saying
I write this because I fear none of the others knows or senses it. He has been so thorough, so right, until now. Something snapped, infected him, turned him against his own sense of logic and reason.
Colovance was not of the 9 who reached the replication chamber. This is evident in the "Dormant Siva: Iron Lords 2.1" card.
Colovance died by the tanker. Dozens of frames, hundreds, more... he cut them down until he ran out of bullets. Then he smashed them ~consume enhance replicate~. It was not enough.
Colovance served his duty that he pledged to the iron lords, dying with the rest of the iron lords. His duty is detailed in the item description of his artifact, "Colovance's Choice."
"I will fight to stop the fighting. If that means I must die, then I choose death." —Lord Colovance
He served this purpose well, fighting to find siva, to end the effects of the collapse. To help his friends make it to the replication chamber. He could have chosen to not follow his master, to not fight Siva. But he chose to fight, and that is why he is honored.

If all Rasputin had were conventional weapons, how could he have permanently killed so many Iron Lords? Doesn't it either take dark power (like Crota wielded) or some crazy nanotechnology like SIVA to kill Guardians (which Iron Lords essentially are)?
