Yuri went down to the hunter den with Cayde-6 and a few other hunters. Iris went to the vanguard hall to deliver a copy of the record to Ikora. She entered the hall to find only Ikora was present. Iris: Where’s Zavala? Ikora: He had a meeting with the consensus. Have you seen Cayde? Iris: He went to the den with Yuri and his buddies. Ikora: He told me he was going to inspect his sparrow. Iris: He’s probably going out of the tower. Though if he does, he wouldn’t be completely lying. Ikora: Please, humor me. Iris: He’ll probably say He was inspecting his sparrow by taking it out to the cosmodrome. Ikora: It frightens me that you're able to think like him. Iris: Us warlocks are all about understanding. It’s just in our nature. Ikora: I don’t dare delve into a hunter’s thoughts. Only madness can be found within their minds. Iris: Oh Ikora. Here’s the record. Iris: Same as record 0007 Ikora: My hidden scanned the traveler’s watch almost a dozen times and found nothing. I’ve personally gone through almost every report we have and still haven’t found anything. What is the missing link for this sword? Iris: Have you talked to Shaxx? He knows a bit about unusual swords. Ikora: I have not. I forgot he was the expert on matters of a blade. Ikora turned on the table comm. Ikora: Shaxx, Your assistance in the vanguard hall is required. Shaxx: I’ll be right in. After a few moments, Shaxx arrived. Iris: Could we ask you about something. Shaxx: Might I ask what that “something” is? Ikora: Taravax-7 had a vision in the vault of glass. We need to know if you know anything about what he describes. Ikora handed Shaxx the record and he quickly read it over. Shaxx: Have you talked to Saladin about the iron lords’ blades? Iris: He was the first person we went to. Nothing in his armory resembled the sword. Shaxx: Fallen howls, people screaming, metal clanging. There’s two places that come to mind. Ikora: Those are? Shaxx: The first is twilight gap, fallen howls and swords clashing are an all too familiar sound. I can reserve a time between matches to allow you to search if you need. Iris: No doubt that fits the picture fairly well, but what about the screams? Shaxx: Yes, that brings me to location two, Takanome ridge. A sort of “camp” just outside the city where the Takanome rangers would provide cover for people fleeing to the city. Iris: What happened there. Shaxx: They performed their duties flawlessly, but they could never have anticipated king’s dawn. Iris: What’s “king’s dawn” Shaxx: The kings and devils plotted to wipe out the Takanome rangers. At the crack of dawn two king captains used superior cloaks to sneak up on the rangers as a devil raiding party attacked a large group of refugees coming through. The rangers assumed position but the cloaked kings attacked, staggering the rangers as a whole. They killed one king and the other retreated with what remained of the devil party. There were many casualties, both rangers and refugees. Shaxx looked down and paused for a moment. Shaxx: People screaming, metal clashing, fallen howling. It fits the picture perfectly. Ikora: Thank you Shaxx. Shaxx nodded his head and went back to his station. Iris: Guess we’re off to do some exploring. Taravax-7 entered the room. Iris: Speak of the devil. We’ve got two new locations to check out, in relation to your vision. Taravax-7: Where? Iris: Twilight gap and Takanome ridge. I suggest we start with the ridge, no need to bother Shaxx unless we have to. Taravax-7: Good to hear. You seen Yuri? Iris: Isn’t he in the den with Cayde? Taravax-7: I was just down there, none of their buddies know where they went. Figured they came back here. Ikora let out a frustrated sigh and turned the table comm on. Ikora: Holiday. Have two ship left the tower recently. Holiday: Two just left not too long ago. Ikora: Was it Yuri and Cayde? Holiday: Seems it was. They took off for somewhere in the cosmo.
