It would actually be nice to add an option to the Exotic and Class items to "Toggle" the Shader on or off.

Exactly! Class items are supposed to be for sporting your factions colors, but the shaders turn them into... whatever. They don't even work with the faction shaders! I have New Monarchy cloaks that NM shaders turn into basically all white.
