Destiny: the pricing and mistreatement of players as a resource for money.

Hello there, you probably don't know me, however you don't need to, all that matters is the massive issue which I have noticed with the business model within this game and the companies who run, create and publish it. 1: Pricing: Destiny when first released was $60 expansions were $20 Each. The taken King expansion was $40 and finally the rise of iron expansion was $30 . 2: Fact: As of right now you can buy Destiny: The collection for $60. 3: Insanity: The price difference between the players who buy the game now and players who bought the game at the start and bought all expansions is $110 . 4: Price difference: To state this clearly, to all players who have paid for the original game from the start and have bought everything since, you have lost $110 in comparison to a player who buys the game now and you have spent a total of $170 5: Compensation and care: The compensation from Bungie and Activision has been nothing. Let's face it they don't care about us, they care about our wallets. 6: Activision and Bungie already make one hell of a profit from the games they make /publish and made /published. However the people at the top, no longer care for what it is the player wants or needs, they care about the best way to exploit a players wants and needs so that they can gain more money, therefore more profit from the players. 7: I am completely aware that video game companies are, at the end of the day, a business, however the whole creative process has been sacrificed in the name of money making. The money which is made from Destiny should be, and I mean 90% of the money made from the games sales should be pumped back into the game and not to the people at the top. Now of course I am not saying in any way that any pay should be cut from the staff of Bungie. I am saying that Activision who simply publish the game, should have a small cut of the profit. I am aware that Bungie has signed a contract with Activision, I am simply saying that the design process has been sacrificed for this contract. Also a contract is not an excuse for this madness. 8: We deserve more: More content, no more money from us. They have made far too much for far too little, they being Activision and Bungie. 9: Plans for the future: I believe very strongly, that Destiny 2, should be free for those who have already paid in excess of the $120 Price mark for Destiny. Mainly due to the fact that what we paid for and what we have recieved has not been the same thing. So then this is my direct message to Bungie, if you have a shred of credibility, honesty and kindness within you, then you should comply to these three terms. 1. Make Destiny 2 free for those who have been playing Destiny from the get go. 2. Release an official statement stating why Destiny has failed to keep it's promises regarding content, in honesty. 3. Apologise for not doing anything sooner about the issue of pricing and the overall unfair and unjust treatment of players plus the fact that you have expected people who have been loyal to your game to pay a total of $170 for a game which does not have the content to compare to this. 10: Thankyou for reading this post. I hope to bring as much attention to this topic as possible so that something can be done about this severe issue. Bring the power back into the players hands so they can start to rebuild what they have paid for.

  • Meh, I don't really care too much. The thing is, those people that came to Destiny with the new Destiny: Collection will never get experience things that day 1 players did, whether it be good or bad.

  • Are you a new consumer? Lots of products come out at 1 price and then sees a reduction in price when sales slow. This is nothing new and is quite normal for early adopters to be invested more than late adopters.
