I could be wrong here but as far as I am aware there is currently no bonus applied to wearing a full armor set?
I think this would work relatively well within the game.
Say you managed to get your hands on the full set of Iron Banner gear (Helmet, Chest Piece, Arms, Legs & Class Item) you would get some sort of added bonus, like the third eye perk on all weapons, or +2 Agility etc...
As I am using the Iron Banner armor set as an example then the bonus would be more aimed towards aiding within the PVP aspect of the game.
And as an opposite example the Vanguard or Raid gear sets would help more towards PVE aspects of the game.
And I guess the faction gear sets would come in both PVP & PVE formats.
This would make grafting towards obtaining a full set of gear more appealing and worth while.
If you agree with me then please like and bump this to help get it noticed!!!
Edit 1: Ok so quite a lot of traffic overnight and some good points on both sides of the argument but I would like to make a few things clear!
Destiny is NOT the division... I never once compared the two or wanted to for that matter as I am not a fan of the later!
Some people are having hissy fits (Which is to be expected in this community) about my idea penalizing players who still want to mix and match. Now let me be clear the set perks would not be godly bonus perks that makes everyone OP! They would not be any more OP than random exotic perks!
Variety would still be there with the sheer amount of different sets around and obviously a large if not majority of players would still want to mix and match and use exotic gear (Which is fine, nobody is putting a gun to your head saying you must wear a full set)
I am not asking people to be sheep, all I am saying is this gives us (The players) more options which can never be seen as a bad thing!
At the end of the day, if they did create something along these line nobody is forcing you to collect full sets, every player plays differently and if I wanted to sacrifice an exotic piece of armor for wearing a full set as the perk I get with it suits my style of play better then how is that a bad thing!...
I am all about constructive criticism but so far nobody has put up a decent argument why this couldn't work apart from butthurt whining about something that hasn't even come into play...

A bonus would be great, but not for anything ability rated in PvP. Maybe give them a crucible reputation bonus or something cosmetic. It's not a good idea to give perk/ability bonuses in PvP. It will affect game balance.
