Which router is recommended for the most "trouble free" Destiny experience?
I'm on Verizon FIOS and recently "cut the cord" on cable TV. Doing this means I no longer have to use an Actiontech *MOCA router to split the different lines from the fiber... but now I can just use a regular router and handle the data.
While I know many / most issues can be fixed with the Network support guide, I also wouldn't be surprised that Destiny is more.... sensitive to some routers over others. Considering we still get people saying "I'm hard-wired with X setup and still get errors". I've been mostly trouble free for 2 years.
I'm probably leaning towards a Nighthawk or an Asus.
* Yeh MOCA is a pain in the neck. Check DSL Reports... if you wanted to use a nice router AND have TV signal on Verizon FIOS, it was a PitA to setup with some multi-router setup and bridge'ing.

I've used the net gear nighthawk x6 before, it's expensive but it's a monster. Never had issues other than when bright house would throttle our bandwidth to zero and/or change net codes on us and force us to reboot to get access to online again... short of the story... avoid bright house at all costs. They suck. Night hawk is great though. Crazy good range on the wifi too. Destiny on a 5Ghz band is buttery smooth (minus the crap Bungie servers that is)... which I find impressive for wifi.
