A raid requires 6 people, all of who may have varying schedules and outside responsibilities, including working, educational responsibilities, family responsibilities, and other things. So sometimes it's already hard enough to coordinate a raid with the group of buddies you normally play with. And even after coordination, you might only have an hour or so before somebody else has to go and you put the raid on hiatus before you all are free again. That's what we've always done with the raids until now and it's never been a problem. But the outbreak prime is different. So having to get all the monitors and beat the boss in one run for the outbreak prime can be hard to do because of those time constraints. I understand there's alternatives, like using LFG to fill in for the one or two people that left, but that's some shady stuff to just replace your friend. I wish there was a way to checkpoint the monitors for the group to hold it till later. My friends are all parents as well as in the job force, so usually when we meet up it's late at night when their children are asleep, but they can't be up long either because they have work the next day so it's really hard to get through the whole raid in one go with that constraint.
Also, another annoyance I have is I can't leave mid raid. But these blue engrams stack up, and I don't want them overwriting a purple raid item I might've gotten early on or exotics from the first chest or two. But I can't visit the cryptarch mid-raid to get rid of the blues, or lock in the purples and/or exotics. So when I do get the raid, I don't have to come back to a bunch of blue engrams and no raid items. The only alternative to avoid that is to break down gear I didn't want to break down mid-raid so I can pick up the blues to break them down in engram form and not get the glimmer and armor/weapon parts, not to mention some of them might have turned into purple gear. I'm kind of mad we didn't get increased vault space with the ROI expansion even though we ditched last-gen support, when for 2 years we've been hearing that the limitations were because of last-gen support and how it couldn't keep up, but that's a different rant.

I did the raid yesterday with randoms including all 5 monitors and it took 45mins. I've known nightfall's take longer than that.

1. Only take essential weapons. My wife takes 1 primary, 1 special and 2 heavy. 2. Leave all excess armor in the vault. 3. Delete blue engrams or when there's a break transfer them to your vault with the app.
