I first got the quest/mission for the First Curse about a year ago, in the early days of The Taken King. When I got to the Weapon Skills step, I infused the best Light primary weapons I had at the time, which put it at about 275. This was in the days when infusion more or less averaged the Light of the current level with the dismantled weapon for the new score. Well, needless to say, I suck in the Crucible and was never able to get the precision kills necessary to finish the last step. Fast forward a year to the present, and the Light level increase to 380 or so; my 275 Imprecation is woefully underpowered and stands almost no chance at all in the Crucible of getting the appropriate number of kills. So I come up with a plan: Dismantle Imprecation, buy a new one from the gunsmith, and maybe I'll be able to infuse it to a decent level since I have a ton 340 weapons right now. So I dismantled it and bought a new one. Step one complete. Step 2, I abandoned the mission and picked it up again from the Abandoned Missions kiosk so that I could infuse the new one again. Step 3, I infused the heck out of it, well beyond 260 Light which the guides state is enough, but it never clicks over as having been infused. Until I got to Light 326, it was still doing an average of the Light levels. Once I hit 326, it started taking the dismantled item's level, but as of Light 348, it's still demanding more sacrifices and the mission still says it's not infused. To make matters more interesting, the mission doesn't seem to be updating the PvE kill spree counter either (which is simple enough to do). I think I broke this good... Anyone else experiencing this? Any solutions?
