Anyone remember him? I did not like how he turned out, and recently got a new tablet and an (expensive) new drawing program.

Excerpt
Isildur was perched on one of the balconies on the other side of the railing. She knelt, using her knifetip embedded in the wood as a cane, contemplating the sight of the City before her. That little ribbon Deidris had tied around her helmet and her ragged Iron Banner cloak flapping in the wind. He came up to her and sat next to her, silent for now but knowing that this needed to be said.
She looked at him, then, her eyes unreadable through the helmet. He felt sadness strike him, knowing that this could be the last time he saw her as an ally and a friend. She had told him once that the Eliksni were a proud and noble race, the loss of their Traveler and the Whirlwind that followed had decimated their nobility. Now the House of Blood Kell was reclaiming the weak Light of the Traveler for them, to restore who and what they had been. And in the process, they would fall to them, with no Light and no Traveler they would descend into darkness. The hive were already battering their walls.
He could never ask her to choose between her own race or the Guardians, one side were Guardians that killed her companions and the other were Eliksni she shared blood with. When he spoke, he looked at her completely and honestly. “Do what you think is best, Isildur.” He said, his voice was soft. “If this is the last time we fight together as friends; it has been an honour to have known you. If you choose to take his side, my bullets will never find you but I cannot guarantee your safety.”
She examined him for a long moment, contemplating his words. The cloak still flapped in the wind, the wolf head in gold and the leaves of trees an ebony black. “Nirwen unlike other Guardians.” She said. “Eliksni kill Guardian – Guardian kill Eliksni. Eliksni reduced to Fallen barbarics. Other Guardians would kill me, Nirwen showed mercy. Loyalty lies with merciful Guardian, not traitorous House Blood Kell, not Fallen who dock.”
She removed her helmet, then reached up to grab one of the feathers clipped into the strange spine-like hair on top of her head and placed it into his hands. “Valkin not Kell of Kells. House Rain prophecy, Kell of Kells will heal lost houses. Not Valkin.” She spoke with such strength, such utter faith in this whisper of a story. He believed her without a doubt, without hesitation. They turned to look at the Traveler once more. “Check Finnala.” She said. “Tormod restrained, I kill him, your command.” She stood and left, leaving him alone to contemplate her words.
