Potential DPS strat for Aksis
Hello guardians,
I have been thinking about ways to increase DPS on Aksis, and I just thought about using the No Time to Explain pulse to crit him to death (the people NOT using the cannons to shoot him). No reloads (his head is pretty big, all crits get refunded), + WoL and Tether and I would start w/ a Viking Funeral on my Warlock, and the No Time to Explain should be a DPS machine. Thoughts?

No, no time to explain doesn't do enough damage.

Tried it. It's gets out-DPS'ed by nearly anything else.

Sorry if this has already been posted, but the chaos dogma does basically what you're saying, but more damage because of its perks, and it lets you keep an exotic heavy.

6 RepliesA lot of the things I'm seeing suggest that we need more dps and total damage stats for weapons. Sure you can get 9 shots for sleeper at 20k a shot, but how long does it take to dish out each hit in a clip? How long between clips? Would raze lighter even be viable with the right amount of teamwork? What about ToM using armor of light? Where does gjallerhorn and bolt caster fit into this? In short, I want to do some weapon testing. But I have not the time for it.

1 ReplyI guess we'll see about hard mode. Currently my team has to decrease DPS to avoid sending him up to platform early with too much health!

4 Replies1: cannons 2: Sleeper 3: gally 4: swords 5: Snipers 6: scouts NTTE is really bad for boss damage, you're giving up an exotic heavy or even black spindle for something that does far less dps then any scout

1 ReplyNTTE is kinda a low damage PR, though. Sure, you'd have continuous DPS on him, but would that add up to be greater than 9 shots from Sleeper? I've not had a go at the new raid yet, so I'm not 100% sure what the situation is leading up to a damage phase, but if there are a bunch of adds, NTTE probably isn't the best place to use up your exotic slot, either, which would mean that you'd have to switch things around and potentially lose ammo.

6 RepliesSuper bad advice would work also... Maybe better than ntte since sba has more dps... Could also use dragons breath since he doesn't move... along with tether WoL and sunsinger nades...
