I played Destiny a ton at first, but by the release of HoW I was burnt out by the repetitiveness and didn't feel like the game was worth it. I've not bought either of the last two DLCs, and quite frankly I've been out of it so long I don't have a reason to ever go back. At this point I don't think Destiny's player base is going to change. It's overall poor reputation outside of the players and the difficulty in really getting into a game like this, especially with the elitist fanbase, just aren't going to help bring people into new expansions that simply add content without drastically improving the game.
I think a fresh start would be great. It'd allow the game's problems to be actually fixed instead of just worked around. The buzz surrounding a new release would help revitalize the community. Hell, I might even play Destiny 2 if it's a fresh start. The complaints that it'll reset progress are forgetting the fact that each new expansion already does this by making old gear worthless and requiring the attainment of new items.
I've heard rumors that it'll be on PC and this needs to happen. I've made the shift to PC, and I won't be the first to say that it's great. I'd rather play Destiny on a keyboard and mouse than twiddle sticks on a controller, plus I'll probably be able to get it running at 60 fps, which would be nice.
Make the Warlocks look like they did in year one. I've seen the newer Warlock armor, and it just isn't as good.
