Edited by Vgnut: 9/27/2016 5:34:12 AMIt was a bad night for Trump. It's pretty simple: What did Trump have to do at this debate? Show that he's presidential, that he can control himself, that he can stay on issues and speak with authority on them. Did he do that? No. He devolved into typical Trump nonsense about Rosie O'Donnell, Obama not being an American, the supporting Iraq war debacle. It looked bad. He lost his composure. He was winded which made it all the more damaging when he was talking about stamina. Clinton prepared for the debate. Clinton played him like a fiddle. She just stood by and let him go on, and on, and on. Trump has been the underdog throughout this election. Even with the race tightening these past weeks he was still going into this behind. He choked. People might say "Well Obama was lousy his first debate performance in 2012" and that's true. But the difference is Obama was a strong candidate unlike Trump (and Clinton for that matter), was going into that leading, and was going into that debate out organizing Romney. None of that is the case for Trump. It's like having a football team that is unorganized and a QB that has never played in any football league let alone the Super Bowl. And what do you do? You don't practice (which is -blam!-ing insane) and you blow one of the most decisive moments in the game.
