So, the Thagomizers. Gives an extra melee charge, and grants the Amplify subclass node for free. -snip, i was wrong- I don't think the Thagomizers are worth an Exotic slot with those perks, especially in PvP. If I have big, spiky arms, you know what those big, spiky arms would do?
Hurt.
So, my suggestion would be, instead of Amplify and an extra melee charge? Discharge and 50% extra melee damage against Minions of the Darkness. (10% extra melee damage vs. Guardians.)
Or, maybe instead of Amplify increase the melee Overload proc chance by half.
TL;DR
Thagomizers aren't cool enough.
Give them extra melee damage and Discharge as a free perk, or increased Overload proc chance.

Dude, I've been chasing these since TTK! I'm just happy to finally have them... they look ace

The problem with this is that most guardians would use over load and one shot high armor guardians as well as low armor guardians. People would not stand for this. It would probably lead to another Titan nerf and we don't want that.

Stormfist already does 172 points of damage per hit in PvP. Coupled with Discharge, it can OHK low armor Guardians. Giving Strikers two melee charges with Discharge for free and a damage bonus would be overpowered. I hate to say it but it would be. That change wouldn't work.

Thagomizers are actually quite amazing, you use Overload and you've got a FoH every 20 seconds in PvE.
-
While I would like this, it would be over powered. It would one shot hunters and any low and medium armored players.

I really love these new Gauntlets for pve. I won't dare try and use them in pvp over the new Godly Dunemarchers.

Skullfort frees up Transfusion being picked allowing you to take a different perk in that column. You also respawn with a melee charge with Skullfort, you don't with Thagomizers. Discharge is too situational. I prefer Amplify.
