So, got the exotic Khvostov and I haven´t found a guide on it´s different uses & setups or a worthy thread of users testimonies- so I tought I´d make one myself.
For those who don´t know or don´t have one yet, the special thing abut the Khvostov is that you can adapt everything about it, from range to rate of fire to stability, even fire modes.
Khvostov can fire like an auto rifle (default mode), a pulse rifle or a scout rifle. In all sets it can switch from mid rate of rife (labeled 450 rpm) to high ROF (900 rpm). When that happens,
---- the Auto modes switch from a (close-to) Suros ARI-45 archetype, to a Doctrine-ish archetype.
---- the Pulse rifle mode switches from a Nirwen-ish type to a Grasp of Malok type of gun.
---- the Scout goes from an NL Shadow type (high ROF low impact) to a Suros DIS47/Inward Lamp type (superhigh ROF/superlow impact).
I haven´t been able to play much with the gun but I wouldn´t advise ever using it in Scout mode. The damage/range switch is not good enough and it gets very heavy on your finger. I´d rather use a proper Scout with a higher impact than this mode.
Other than that I love the adaptability of the Suros. It serves almost all purposes: close quarters, close-to-mid-mid or even longer ones with the Pulse rifle mode. You can take this gun to almost all maps and never need to switch to another primary.

The 450 burst drops Crucible targets like a sack of potatoes with headshots

900 RPM Auto mode shreds in Crucible, and 450 RPM Burst mode is great for PvE.
