Pre orders were a ****ing mess: bonuses should be available in eververse after release
I'm going to be totally honest, the RoI pre orders were an absolute ****ing mess.
The collection upgrade could be purchased by people who didn't meet the criteria (I myself took advantage of this to get it £2 cheaper than standalone), the upgrade could NOT be purchased by those who did, the standalone was removed from the store and, according to some, has not been put back (or at least it isn't showing up for them).
On top of this, it is impossible to pre order the standalone for Xbox One in any online store besides the official Xbox Marketplace (the one on Xbox.com, not via console), and even that is bugged to hell for some reason.
I'm fairly certain PS4 players are having similar issues, and if I didn't buy the upgrade when I did, I'm not confident in the slightest that I'd have been able to pre order the expansion at all.
So...yeah, I'll say it again: the pre orders for this expansion were an absolute ****ing mess. Never before has it been so goddamn awkward to pre order something. As a direct result of this, many players will be unable to get the preorder bonuses despite having the money and being perfectly willing to buy it.
[b]Here is what I believe needs to be done about this:[/b]
Bungie should make ABSOLUTELY sure that Rise of Iron (standalone as well as collection) is available for pre-order/purchase in the marketplace of both consoles and the online stores of all major retailers who sell it.
Until they finish making absolutely sure (and for two weeks afterwards), they must keep the preorder bonuses available in Eververse to allow people to purchase them who might otherwise have never had a chance. In addition, all players who get RoI during this period should be given enough silver to allow them to purchase these items.

I was able to preorder mine from my xbox1. Downloaded it and everything but when I go to play in game, it says I don't have it. Been trying to get it to work since it came out. If I can't get it fixed I'm done

Hey guys idk if it's going to work for every one but I tried it again last night after following what this guy said to do ( http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_support/xbox_one_support/f/4271/t/2209760.aspx ). Then i went to purchase it through the game itself by clicking the ROI icon and it finally let me order the stand alone dlc

The store is and has been bugged. I never could pre-order it. Tried again and again. I can't even buy the stand alone upgrade now via the Xbox Store. The pre-order items were a major draw for me wanting to do the pre-order and now that has gone poof. It's making me so angry, and I'm wondering now if it isn't wiser to just forget about Destiny, and avoid the frustration by uninstalling and playing something else.

1 ReplyHi i was having the same issue as everyone i tried on the pc on xbox.com and was grayed out could only bye the full package for £60 went on the console and put in rise of iron and only came up with the bundle but when i put destiny rise of iron it came up with the 2 pre order and normal one and it worked strange how i had to put the destiny first tho for it to show up

I preordered and it hasn't downloaded. I checked the ready to install section and didn't find anything yet I know I downloaded the preorder bonuses. Perhaps I should go to "manage game" the next time I get on

13 RepliesIt's the retailers issue if Bungie's pre-order isn't properly showing up. I actually talked to Xbox support and they are aware they are having issues with that, and payments being completed with that pre-order.
