Helping solve inventory constraints of hoarders; stacks of encrypted engrams.
Stacking would help.

Someone would find some way to abuse.

Right idea, wrong implimentation.

Stop Hoarding (Me: NEVER!)

How about, to help elevate inventory stress, encrypted engrams of the same rarity and slot stack like synths, coins, and 3oC does?
this would make a bunch only occupy one slot in vaults or carried inventory.
If Bungie is concerned about people overhoarding, they can have short stack limits that, like perhaps keys, can only have one stack in a single given inventory. So, say 25 per stack?
Or for something a little smarter.. 5 engrams per stack in player inventory, but 25 in the vault? this way people won't use their personal inventory to carry hundreds more engrams in their account. Or something along these lines, instead of each individual engram hogging a spot.
I can understand if that the current way Engrams are coded, that this would still require just as much memory as adding extra slots, but this could be implemented for destiny too to help solve the problem before it starts again.
But I don't see why it couldn't be implimented before next year.. wear instead of actually gaining an engram, code-wise you more or less get a "Ticket" that spawns and decrypts an engram at moment of handing in the ticket to the cryptarch, so that you don't have to have the actual engram data hogging a spot in the inventory.. 'pends on how it's coded *shrugs*.
