A great card with some interesting Lore insights into the Exo Stranger and her explorations. I went through record by record to try and piece together information (my thoughts in spoilers). One thing I like about this card is that it is one of the only grimoire cards that directly correlates back to actual in game cinematics and dialogue. But it also has a few interesting lore items (did you know the Vex have been to the moon?) Record 084-BRIDGE-10.7 Right When this time, wrong Where. The world is so big on the horizon, wasn’t expecting it. As it happens, something’s here that’s not supposed to be, other than myself. Will return. [spoiler] Based on the record number, this appears to be among the earlier jumps the Exo Stranger made, almost like she is still learning how to control/time the jumps. She appears to have jumped into the correct time, but is closer to the planet than she intended. It also mentions that something else is there that shouldn’t be. Based on the other records in this card, my speculation is that the world she is referring to is the Moon, and the other is the Hive.[/spoiler] Record 092-BRIDGE-08.1 Configuration worked, mostly. Arrived under the surface, surrounded. Too slow to return, barely fought to a vantage point. Yes there is dark evil here, and not the one we chase. Suggest no other attempts without more care. [spoiler] She now seems to be a bit better at controlling the jumps and this appears to be a follow up jump from the previous record. She has now jumped to below the moon’s surface, surrounded by Hive. She is having issues with jumps in that she can’t return as fast as she needs, and this time she almost got trapped. She talks about the dark evil (the Hive) that is in the moon, but it is not the one [i]we[/i] chase (the Vex). Like the Venus cinematic where she is speaking with someone unknown on the comms, the term “we” shows she is working with someone else who we don’t know yet, but highly believed to be Osiris. [/spoiler] Record 120-BRIDGE-05.3 They are feral on the surface but their intent is complex behind the teeth and claws. More is shared with the machines than common enemies alone. [spoiler]She is starting to understand the greater intent and threat behind the Hive. She is starting to recognize the darkness that the Hive share with the Vex, that they are share more in common than just being our enemies. We know from the books of sorrow that the Vex have adapted the Hive tenets of sword logic and worship.[/spoiler] Record 142-BRIDGE-07.4 An unexpected extraction. These Guardians stopped some dark ritual before I could reach it. Tearing the light away….like the Garden. Too similar to go uncharted. [spoiler]I believe she was witnessing us stop the Hive from draining the travelers light from the broken shard of the traveler in the Chamber of Night story mission. In this mission, the hive have a broken piece of the traveler (one of the ones that likely fell from the damaged underside) that still contains some light that they are trying to drain, similar to how the black heart is draining the travelers light. This would be the first time she watched us stop the ritual. I say first because in the next record she comes back again. She continues drawing the parallels to the darkness and the Vex[/spoiler] Record 142-BRIDGE-08.1 This attempt was precise. Landed meters and minutes from prior ritual. Confirmed the extraction was extinguished. The Little Light mentioned Venus, we may have another. [spoiler] She wanted to get a closer look, so she jumped back to watch the same ritual as above, but closer this time to make sure we were successful in stopping the ritual. It is interesting because in the actual in game story mission, the Exo Stranger talks to us before we enter the Temple, tells us to meet her at Venus if we survive. (Remember the “you’re interesting, not entirely interesting, but you have promise. Go down and face the hive, if you live, come find me”) Yet in this timeline, she was merely just watching us, and did not interact with us. She doesn’t seem to know in this record that another version of her already told us about Venus. This has interesting implications in that the Exo Stranger can’t determine (at least at this point) whether she is on a timeline she previously influenced or not[/spoiler] Record 167-BRIDGE-5.2 Successfully observed Guardian discovery of Hive on Luna. [b]No evidence today of knowledge past Vex breaches here[/b]. Delay in return command is a liability to solve before engaging this close again. [spoiler] We’ve woken the hive! (Dinklebot did it best). Remember as she watched from the cliff tops in the story mission as we see that poor dead guardian and his missing ghost? It seems like she is still fighting the same return issues as in her previous jumps, and needs to get it fixed. The second line is the real interesting piece. No evidence that we were aware of the Vex breaches here? The Vex on the moon? Apparently they have been there.[/spoiler] Record 312-BRIDGE-3.3 Watching Guardian-Hive engagements confirms a trajectory towards earth. This moon is theirs – a breeding ground, their black heart, perhaps. Different from that we know, but seems to be that same dark end I see us fall to over and over. [spoiler] Once again making connections between the Hive and the Vex, similarities in their ties to the darkness. She is starting to see the Hive movement towards earth. Remember the blades of crota invading our world? Preparing for Crota? She is starting to recognize that[/spoiler] Record 472-BRIDGE-2.1 I’ve followed this Light as far back as it goes. Let the Little One guide me through the Fallen as I puzzle out what the Hive want in the bones of this broken Cosmodrome. [spoiler] The term Little One could be generic to any ghost, but in this particular card, it is often referring our ghost specifically. So if this record is talking about our Little Light (ghost), then this means the Exo Stranger watched our ghost search for and find us in the Cosmodrome. She was there when we first were revived and ran through the wall. If you go back to the first story mission where you first find your ship after being risen, in the closing cinematic, the exo stranger watches us fly out of the cosmodrome. [/spoiler] Record 473-BRIDGE-1.2 Back to the Temple, again, but this time the Little One knows I’m here. I have seen the failures of so many, but none have been as interesting. Preparing to engage… [spoiler] She is back at the Temple of Crota again. The same place she watched us wake the Hive. The place where she watched us save the Traveler’s shard. Remember how last time she just watched (Record 142 above) us stop the ritual. But she heard us mention Venus? This is the timeline where she stopped us before we went in, told us to meet her on Venus if we survived. Her record 142 version didn’t know her record 473 version had spoke to us. This is her talking to our Guardian for the first time. None have been as interesting…She apparently sees potential in our guardian unlike others. So she engages us, in the dialogue I referenced above: “You’re interesting, not entirely interesting.
