Now I guess the "majority of players" couldn't give 2 shits about them. Well majority, go fuck yourself. We wanted private matches since the beginning and bungie listened to us. Bungie always listens to us, but you're a bunch of sheep. We wanted a gjallarhorn sparrow, we got it. We wanted an exotic strangers rifle; we got it. We wanted a horde mode; we got it ( PoE ). We wanted an exotic kvostov; we got it. We wanted weapon skins; we got it. I can't comprehend how much this community complains. Get the stick out of your ass people. Bungie still loves us.
Everyone has been commenting "But OP what about important things like servers?" And the answer to that is easy. The game is from 2014 guys, it's pretty -blam!-ing old ( game wise ). The servers aren't gonna be the best, and Bungie can't update them without using a whole new net code. Just wait until destiny 2 and Bungie will more than likely implement dedicated servers; just to keep with the times. The next thing being that "SBMM is horrible, why don't they fix that?" And I too agree with this. However, players should still have the option to do skill based matchmaking. Thanks for the support and for the critiquing.

Private matches would have been great a year or so ago when I had 20+ people on my friends list playing regularly. Now? We wouldn't have enough for 3v3s. People complaining are dumb. Yeah it should have been in the game a looong time ago, but complaining now that they have added them in isn't going to help improve the game.
-
lol I never cared for private matches. I mean I guess now I can cheese certain things like crucible test weapons? But why waste my time getting blue engrams when I can get legendaries in normal crucible.
when bungie adds forge that's a different story.
If you think these forums are representative of the majority of Destiny players, then you're as diluted as the people whose opinion you're ridiculing.
-
Lol remember when they wanted voice on pvp then they get it and nobody uses it
-
If it took two years for private matches. Does that mean no weapon buffs for two years?
-
I agree with you, believe me I really do but servers? Man you aren't correct on these. Battlefield being a prime example of what this game could have been like connection wise. Destiny still is my favourite game bar none but they did use a really weird system for the networking crap. What people think it is is a combo of a mini server and p2p so for people with bad internet connecting to 2 things at once is too much. Dedicated servers would also take a lot of time to put into place and since they didn't know wether or not destiny would take its fair they didn't do it. Destiny 2 tho there wouldn't be much reason to not do it so let's hope

Literally the only things I would ask for at this point is a buff to Gunslingers/Sunsingers and an actual story in Destiny 2.
-
The only thing i hate in bungie is weapon balancing.
-
I'm sure the people that were asking for private matches aren't the same people that are saying almost no one cares about private matches. Some people want some things and some people want other things. Bungie cant listen to everyone's requests, but that's just how it is, especially with a game built on an engine like Destiny's that makes it alot of work to implement anything new in the game.
-
But you are STILL too dumb to ask for the one thing that would make the biggest difference: Dedicated Servers Muted for idiotic rage.
-
The problem I have is, all of my friends in real life don't play Destiny anymore.
-
It's quite funny https://youtu.be/QmhC-BUBNPY

Private matches will be used about as much as team chat in crucible. Everybody screamed for that and nobody uses it.
-
Private matches are so much fun. I'm glad they finally put them in the game.
-
I wanted party games...
-
Whining about whining is still whining. Bitching about bitching is still bitching. Complaining about complaining is still complaining. Therefore, you're just another whiny complaining bitch, just like the rest.
-
Private matches are great if you have friends, if not then they don't effect you so why care
-
The only reason why we got private matches is because people were crying for it. And not because of people like you who just kept quiet and said this game is amazing it needs nothing. You only complain if you care about something.

I settled a Score this Morning with my Kid. Hes rather Beastly In PVP and always gives me grief about how bad I am since I don't play PVP as often as he does. Well took him to the mat this AM with a 3wins to his 1win. Basically I said you can use whatever weapons you like, but we are playing Mayhem Inferno. He brought out his Void Walker and I went Striker and I gotta admit it was some of the funniest game play I've ever had in PVP in a Long time. Nothing like listening to your Kid attempt to get Salty with you across the house. Did I get lucky or was it simply because I was slamming the heck out of him constantly. I'm going to say I probably stacked the deck a bit choosing Mayhem, but hey. "Dad pick whatever you want I'm going to kick your butt anyways." Lol

Not even 24hrs and people are complaining about private matches? Keep Douchey Destiny Forum
-
Bungie still loves our money.
-
Bungie/Destiny epitomizes this old saying: Damned if you do; damned if you don't.
-
horde mode is archons forge
-
The private matches are great and all, but I'm trying to have family death match with my lady and stepson, but can't, because bungie forgot how local connections and LAN gaming work.

Edited by iMoto Bro: 9/14/2016 9:02:01 PMI cringe when I see posts like this. Complaining about complainers is the lowest form of complaint. And then saying completely ignorant things like "this game is pretty old and 2 years is a long time server-wise". No.... Just no. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. There are 10+ year old games with millions of players (World of Warcraft). You think they don't upgrade servers? Destiny has had millions of players over the course of the past 2 years. They've had to upgrade the servers as the number of registered users increases as well as the amount of content in the game. They've gotta put all that data somewhere. When the game goes completely offline for several hours, which is fairly rare but it has happened a few times, that means they're doing some sort of serious server maintenance or upgrade.
