The overall message should be eye opening for some. The diss in the vid is pretty funny too.
I used to play so I could save the last city on Earth from the Darkness and help the Traveler conquer with the help of my friends, but now I don't really care considering the tools I have fought to get in the darkness have become outdated and are no longer viable on top of having to reacquire them over and over again, along with the "universe" (devs) punishing you for PvP balance sake, my friends haven't played for more than 1 year and the fact that the Traveler seems to be void from the main story (the main premise for the game seems lost).
Why do you guys still play?

Because I have a lot of time and money into this game. And it's the only game to pull me Away from call of duty. Bo3 ruined it for me. And overall, I enjoy where the story is going and if I get upset in pvp, I'll quit destiny and go play something else.

Because i like FPS's and the search for loot. Was a big fan of borderlands for the same reasons. Also for the community (in game is alot different than the forums lol) since I've meet some really awesome people, met one in person since they only lived an hour away and now were good friends and hang out outside destiny. No other game has come close to the experience I've had with this game.
