We always moan about what Bungie get wrong so what did they get right? Which class is most balanced.
Poll is a maximum of 7 so comment for sunsinger (obviously needs buffing) and stormcaller.
Edit:
Strong consensus that Voidwalker is most balanced subclass.

Edited by Yoder023: 9/11/2016 1:23:01 PMNow - Gunslinger Before it's nerf - Sunbreaker Before that nerf - All had a thing that could make them crazy
-
I couldn't help but notice that stormcaller isn't on this list.
-
My theory in how Supers in Crucible should work Solar supers shouldnt be able to shut down other Solar supers so easily Void supers shouldnt be able to shutdown other Void supers Arc supers shouldnt be able to shutdown other Arc supers. Its the Same Element just channelled into a different power, BUT it shouldn't be more powerful than another Same Element power. Just my idea
-
More like 'Which Subclass to Nerf' chart.
-
Voidwalkers will be balanced when Nothing Manicles are removed from the game.
-
Stormcaller.
-
Gunslinger and voidwalker are most balanced. And dont have anything overpowered.
-
Damn what's wrong with blade dancer? Their grenades are not as good as any of those sticky ones or massive area damage ones. The super is a Melle attack that runs out fairly quick.
-
Yet both the Solar melee and Void melee on hunters don't count towards ability kills.
-
What have you done op? You've unleashed the horde of salty Hunters!
-
Dude void is top subclass in sweats it is NOT balance

Warlocks: easily the BEST class right now. The effort/reward factor is heavily askew. And the thunderstrike mechanic needs to change, just add a lunge and keep the max range. Sunsinger is a different story, viking funeral does not seem rewarding enough. Voidwalker is honestly balanced, the axiom bolts are a bit easy to use (at least you can run away from them) Titans: heavily overatted, strikers have a tool set that heavily punishes other players for making mistakes and exposes those who are tactically unaware (basically a useless class against good players. Defender is easily the best class, since they can play the objective very well, have great survivability, and a grenade that takes away mobility and abilty. (Heavily effective against warlocks). Sunbreaker is ok, the healing is a good perk, the grenades is too inconsistent, but the super is great Hunter: easily the WORST class. Grenades that are mostly difficult to hit, besides skip and bolt. Supers that are all easy to shut down or counter. A jump that only works in close quarters, leaves you unbelievably exposed in the open. Terrible horizontal speed. Perks that centered on gunplay, (this is good, but it does not provide enough) . Perks that are found on armor and weapons, like reload speed and accuracy. Lack of survivability persk (bladedancers should only works on the super and a melee). Terrible melee compared to warlocks and titans, (smoke bombs is good, I'm just wish it was affected by the fast ball perk. Hunters basically have only one advantage, close range vertical evasiveness (good for handcannons)

I've said before on others posts like this for a long time, and I'll say it again. Titan- easiest to use pve. Warlock- balanced for everything. Cept for the sun singer nerf took away some balance. Hunter easiest to use in PvP.
-
Gunslinger needs a buff Golden gun needs a nerf Defender needs a buff Sunsinger needs a buff Arc blade needs a buff
-
Its sad. Voidwalker is probably the best subclass in the game but it's also the most balanced. Meaning a balanced class that will get nerfed into the ground Storm, Striker, and Void are fine Just buff everything else in this game

Edited by Tim vdB3: 9/11/2016 1:49:58 PMStriker is a little too much imo with a few things: FoH cilinder shaped radius Aim assist in 180* shoulder charges Visible cone of lightning grenades However pulse grenades should get some love. I don't call it OP but these things do bother me.
-
Not a popular thought but it is actually very impressive that the 9 very very different classes are all competitive in pvp. It's not perfect but it's dam close. Bunge deserves some credit for that.
-
Striker and voidwalker.
-
Voidwalker is a tad op . I mean you get your health back on a grenade kill.
-
I find Sunsinger is very underrated and easily a contender for most balanced. I do however give a nod to Void as they have an evade/charge option in their tree. The one thing Sunsinger lacks is the ability to close a gap or get away quickly. Other than that I would say Sunsinger or Sunbreaker.
-
Stromcaller
-
Sunsinger
-
If you ask me, voidwalkers weird bouncing scatter grenades makes it less balanced (not saying OP, just a little UP) than gunslinger. Gunslingers changed to tripmines and throwing knives really kept a gunslinger less reliant on abilities and more so on the combination of their weapons and abilities.
-
Striker, Voidwalker, and Defender. Solar subclasses are all in a pretty sorry state imo and the rest are pretty good but still deserve some tweaking.
-
I call it a tie between Voidwalker, striker and Gunslinger. Each class just seems to have one that balances out. I voted Gunslinger though.
-
2 patches ago I'd say striker goldy and void. Now goldy is underwhelming, and striker and void may be the best classes
